Finn sat under the shade of the tree, letting the warm summer sunshine glaze over his face. He couldn't remember the last time he felt so happy. There were still four weeks left of summer. Just him, and Rachel Berry.

She was stretched out on the grass, her long brown legs crossed at the feet, twiddling daisies between her toes. Finn smiled at her childlike daydreaming, and he stared at her face. Her long eyelashes brushed her cheeks when her eyes were shut. He plucked at blade of the long grass that swayed in the breeze near them, and he silently crawled over so that her feet rested by his face. Then quick and stealthily he tickled her feet violently.

Rachel's eyes snapped open and she sat up abruptly giggling and shrieking in innocent joy. She stood up and chased him round the tree yelling and him, her whole body shook with laughter.

"Finn! I am going to kill you" she laughed.

And she jumped on his back, and rolled over on top of him, showering his face with kisses.

"You" kiss "are so" kiss "irritating!"

"Ha!" chuckled Finn " I love it when your mad"

"mad?" she giggled "I can never be mad at you ever again"

"Well good, cos' that would have stopped me doing this!"

And he leapt to his feet, pulling Rachel with him and flung her in a fireman lift over his broad shoulders, spinning and running round in circles. Rachel screamed and beat his back with her fists.

"Put me down Hudson!"

"Never!" Finn yelled.

But he did, of course he did. He would do anything she wanted.

He set her back down on the grass, and she sat, legs crossed, lips pursed in a mock pout. Finn laughed at sat opposite her, one leg on either side of her tiny frame, and cupped her face in his hands.

"I love you Rachel Berry" he said, a wide smile set across his face.

"I love you too"

And he kissed her, and she tasted like honey and crushed raspberries.
