You'd think that people would have had enough of silly love songs,
But I look around me and see that it isn't so,
Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs.
She looked at him. That's all it took for her to immediately fall in love with him. And she wasn't usually like that, no, not at all. And he… he was taken, at least for a little bit longer. Santana Lopez was sure that Sam Evans would be hers. Someday, she hoped for herself. She left Breadsticks that night early; she couldn't stand looking at him anymore. Not with Quinn right beside him, well, not right beside him, but still… she was his girlfriend. She never noticed, until then, that his eyes were nothing short of beautiful. No one had eyes like that, she noted. Santana soon found herself staring into him and turned her head quickly, causing him to stop smiling. No one noticed it, of course.
And what's wrong with that?
I'd like to know, 'cause here I go again.
I love you,
I love you.
Tomorrow morning she came to school, as usual, at 6.30 in the morning, but she remembered that she wasn't a part of cheerios anymore. Stupid glee, she thought, what am I supposed to do now? She didn't feel like going home. Her mother was there and she didn't want to explain anything. She decided to go and watch the football practice, knowing that Sam would be there. It didn't take long for her to spot him sat in the bleachers, just watching the rest of the football team. Santana hesitated, but went to sit next to him after a few seconds.
When he first saw her, he stayed quiet and continued watching the practice, but after a couple of minutes he spoke.
"Why are you here?" He asked, never moving his look from the field.
"Forgot that I am not a cheerio anymore. Sucks for me. Why are you here?" Santana responded, still keeping her look away from him. It hurt to see him right next to her. She was, after all, Quinn's friend. She could never hurt her, or could she? No, it would be wrong, but it felt so right.
I can't explain the feeling's plain to me, so can't you see?
Ah, she gave me more, she gave it all to me, now can't you see?
Soon enough, she found herself in the guys' locker room. With him. He was kissing her like there was no end. Like nothing else existed and they were the only persons in the world. Santana kept her eyes closed, she never did that. She was never this interested in someone. She was never kissed like this, it was… different. It felt magical and she begged for just a few moments with him. But she was in no luck; they soon heard coach Beiste announce the end and they both hurriedly went out of the room. No one spoke until they were out of the school, where Santana broke the silence.
"This is wrong. I-" She said, but was interrupted by Sam, who couldn't stop grinning.
"It is. But I'm breaking up with Quinn. We…" He stopped for a while. He didn't know what to say. He knew how Santana was, he knew that guys meant nothing to her and he didn't know if she would be with him. Santana disrupted his thoughts after a longer silence.
"We could be together then. But for now, just don't tell anyone." She sat up as she saw Brittany pull over at the parking lot. With a smile on her face she hurried o her, hoping that she would not figure it out.
Love doesn't come in a minute,
Sometimes it doesn't come at all,
I only know that when I'm in it,
It isn't silly, love isn't silly, love isn't silly at all, not at all.
