"Daddy how did you and mummy meet?" six year old Emery asked as she climbed into bed. Harry turned away from where he was pulling her curtains shut and looked at his little girl, her blonde hair fell down past her shoulders and the enquiring look on her face made her look even more like Nikki that it scared Harry slightly. Harry smiled as he tucked the curtains behind the radiator slightly then turned back to Emery and sat on the edge of the bed as she lay down and hugged her toy snake closer to her.

"Well it was Uncle Leo who met mummy first" Harry explained and laughed slightly "He walked into the special part of the lab, the part we don't let you and your brothers go in, and mummy was standing there cleaning her teeth"

"In the lab?" Emery asked, amazed slightly "Why?"

Harry thought about this, he didn't really know and he told his young daughter this.

"And then mummy asked Uncle Leo if she could use the lab to help her with a project she was doing and Uncle Leo said yes, but of course he left me out of the loop" Harry joked then continued "So later that day Leo was talking to me and then your mummy walked in and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen"

"Daddy" Emery laughed "Don't get soppy"

Harry laughed along with his daughter and leant down to kiss her.

"I'm not Emmy it's the truth, your mummy is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and if you are anything like her then I'll have to keep you locked away"

"Why" Emery asked and cocked her head to one side

"It doesn't matter" Harry replied quickly "But then Uncle Leo introduced me to mummy and then she also helped me and Uncle Leo out on a project we were doing and Uncle Leo invited her to stay"

"Did you love her then daddy?" Emery asked quietly and Harry nodded slightly but didn't say anything "Why didn't you tell her?"

"Because...it's complicated. I fell in love with mummy but I didn't know if she felt the same way about me so I didn't tell her"

"Why didn't you ask her?" Emery asked yet another question and Harry groaned inwardly

"It's very complicated Emmy" Harry replied and leant down to press a kiss onto his daughter's forehead and smoothed down her blonde hair "Now you get to sleep"

"Love you daddy" Emmy said and Harry smiled and nodded

"Love you too princess"

"Love you mummy" Emery then added and Harry frowned and his head whipped around to the bedroom doorway when he heard Nikki reply. She had a grin on her face but Harry didn't know how much she had heard. Tucking their daughter in, Harry then made his way out of the room and shut the door slightly. Nikki leant up to kiss him and wrapped her arms around his neck as he placed his hands on her hips.

"How long were you standing there?" he asked against her neck as he pressed small kisses on Nikki's skin.

"Well you didn't mention to Emmy that I came in to use your software" Nikki giggled and Harry laughed as he pulled them both towards the bedroom.
