Georgie Jones stood in the cemetery watching as they put the the gray stone in the ground where just

a few hours ago they had buried to her one time friend Diego Alcazar. Georgie knew that Diego wanted

more than just friendship from Georgie. Georgie wanted that too, and was willing to try. They went to

the dance together and went swimming together sharing kisses and laughing making Georgie's heart

feel lighter for the first time in weeks. Then she was told by Dillon that Diego had been involved

in the breaking up of their marriage. Georgie wanted to say the final blow was you cheating on me with

Lulu but she said nothing and went back to work. Later that night Georgie sneaked out of the house to

see Diego and find out the truth from him.

The two sat in the park and Diego could tell that something was wrong. He regretted asking her what

was wrong because when she asked him point blank if he was working with Lulu. He just looked down.

When Georgie didn't say a word he looked into her eyes and saw nothing. Not anger or hurt just she

just looked done. That night Georgie told Diego to stay away from her and he did. The day before he

died he had called Georgie and told her how sorry he was that he hurt her. Also told her to not get

back with Dillon and that he would always love her.

The next day Georgie listened to his message and wanted to call him but she went to class and then

to the diner. Later when she went home Mac and Maxie were waiting up for her and asked her to sit

down. "Georgie I just got home from the office. I'm sorry to tell you that Diego was killed this

morning. He was shot." Maxie told his youngest daughter. Georgie refused to believe and when she

saw her Dad's eyes she knew it was true. Georgie broke down as Mac and Maxie tried to comfort her.

The funeral was two days later. Georgie sat towards the back with her sister and her best friend

Brooklyn who wanted to be there for her friend. Diego wasn't her favorite person but she loved

Georgie so she was there. The priest asked if anyone would like to speak. When no one stood up.

Georgie got up and walked up and looked at all the people and she just talked. She spoke of some

of the bad things that he did and the good things. Georgie was aware that he wasn't perfect but she

loved him anyway. Lorenzo thanked Georgie and left with his wife. Maxie had to work and Brooklyn

had to get home, just leaving Georgie alone in the church.

This leads her to where she is at right now. It's pouring rain and she is under the umbrella watching

them lay Diego to his final resting place. When they were all done Georgie walked over and laid

a rose on top of the stone and whispered. "I loved you too!" Georgie kissed her fingers and then

placed her fingers on the stone giving him the only kiss she could. Walking to the car where her

father Mac was waiting for she took one last glimpse and let the tears fall. When she got in the car.

Mac pulled her in his arms and let her cry, whispering that she would be okay one day.
