He is everywhere, he sees him everywhere–is it possible to fall in love this hard?
Author's Note:
I tried to post some fluff.. and failed miserably. Another angsty... wait, no, not that angsty, but yeah still nostalgic-angsting!David. You should know that I didn't mean to put too much torture on him that much, but then again..
Written quick as a longer version of 'The Known World' drabble on 'Like a Dash'. Style's different than my usual because I found an old fic of mine, my favorite actually, and well, just wanted to write something similar to it. Although I ended up failing. fml.

Pieces, pieces;
He is everywhere, he sees him everywhere; that haunting figure that has been appearing every now and then. Wherever he is, whenever it is, as if he was taunting him with his very own appearances.
(What more do you want to take from me?)
.
He sees him on his bed, tangled with his sheets, accompanied by a lazy smile and messy hair and a clumsy morning! that (painfully) reminds him of that wonderful, wonderful night when he took him as his own.
-The way he moans against his skin, warm breaths colliding with his own as he grasps tighter and bites harder and it bruises and it's oh so so right.-
(I can't get enough of you. I want to kiss you all over.)
.
In the garden, squatting beside the purple flowers his mother used to tend (a gentle smile, "You should find someone who'd take care of them, David.") pouting slightly as he tells him it's his sister's most beloved as much as his too.
(If I have the whole place blooming, would you come back to me?)
.
Standing in the main chamber, just that spot beside his throne–almost jumping when he sees him–excitement high in the air as then he asks where would they go next? Which adventure to take on today? What kind of creature would they face?
-"How about that... that thing–you know... glasya lamajigger?"-
(Anywhere is fine. Anywhere is fine. I'll follow you to the end of the world.)
.
Sitting in one of the tables in the corner of Warrior's Honor, face red, back crouched down but eyes crinkling up, mischievously beckoning him to take yet another sip with that naughty smirk that just screams 'I won't let you leave before we get wasted!'
("This is 'The Rush Special', I figured you'd like to try his usual, my lord.")
.
In one of the endless ponds in Crookfen, splashing water and mud and God-Emperor-knows-what with childlike glee clear on his features, coupled with that certain euphoria that's just… him. Calling his name again and again to join along to have some fun before Emma catches their acts.
-"C'mon, Dave! Live a little!"-
(She wouldn't catch us, wouldn't catch us. She's gone gone gone.
And you're just the same.)
.
In the street of Tula, gazing up to the sky that still seems odd without the glimmering that was once the Elysion even after all these times. The melancholic streak on his eyes was ridiculously out of place when he tells him he knows that they would be able to survive without them; that he would be able to survive without him.
"You're coping up just fine without me, right?"
And he says yes, always and nothing less; a mask of forced smile well in place because he knows that even if he says otherwise, nothing would change. Nothing.
-"Dave! Hey Dave! Dave, look at me!"-
(Is it possible to fall in love this hard?)

.
He watches as he jumps out to the sky, fading into the cloudless blue, what's left of his laugh echoing in the hollow spot inside his chest.
