N/a : First Bones fic in English (ever) second (after a French one), though I'm 'used' to writing English.
I apologize for any mistake there possibly can be, due to the fact that English isn't my native language, but I assure you I've done my best to avoid them;-)
My reaction after 11/12/09 episode. Enjoy;-)
He looked at her expectantly. He had managed to do it, thanks to her. Her, and Gordon Gordon. That man may be a chef, by he still had a good psychological approach! He would have to thank him, at some point. Along with his amuses-bouche. But now, he was smiling. Smiling at Bones. Brennan. Temperance. Whatever the name, he loved that woman. Not literally, or did he?
He was confused now, especially after the chef's speech. She was smiling at him too, what was it supposed to mean? Pride, or mockery? Or just happiness. Whatever it was, he realized he couldn't tell. As weird as it seemed, she might have been the one person he was the closest to (apart from his son, actually) but he just couldn't tell.
What was she feeling, now, or for him?
Was she as rational as she pretended, or did she really have this thing for him?
Knowing her, simply asking the question would be a pure disaster. His smile widened as she offered him her arm, and escorted him outside. That woman might be a mystery, but he was FBI Special Agent Booth, he could figure it out.
His phone rang at that very moment and he took it by reflex as the anthropologist's eyes widened. Had he really used the same hand, as he previously did?
As they went through the stairs, she also spotted such differences. He was a changed man. A new man, the old him. Belt buckle, and funny socks. He was Booth. Seeley Booth. Hers?
