Prologue:

When you have love, hold it close. Keep it in your grasp, do everything you can, to keep it from slipping through your fingers.

Chapter One, Struggling to Breathe.

"It was just a dream…" Belle whispered to herself, as her breathing grew harsher. "It was just a dream…" She mutters to herself. Her breathing started to slow down, and she slowly laid her head down on the soft silk pillow. Her brown eyes searched the room, before closing them slowly. As soon as she closed them it was morning. The bright sun had shined in through the curtains, "Bloody sun…" Belle says aloud, she had not wanted to get out of bed. But she knew she had to, she had to face another day in SB. She had to take care of 's Pawn Shop, she had to keep it going in case the others needed her help. Every once in a while, she would had turned a corner and see him. It was always him. It made her heart ache. She couldn't move on, from that night. She didn't have the courage to take off the ring. The ring that symbolized the love that Rumpelstiltskin supposedly had for her. She had loved him with all her heart, and he had crushed.

Getting up slowly out of bed, Belle had noticed that she had worn Rumple's shirt to bed. Her heart couldn't move on. "I have to move on…" She mutters to herself, "I can't live in doubt of this ever happening to me." She tells. Finally she had walked herself over to his closet, and opened it slowly. In his closet were all his suit coats, dress shirts, and dress pants were hanging. She had pulled them all down from the rack, "It's time to move on." She mumbles before throwing them onto the bed, she slipped on some slippers and headed her way to the garage. She had grabbed a big enough box to fit them, and she walked her way back inside. When she reached the room, she had jumped seeing Rumple sit on the bed, with those pain eyes, looking into hers. "Bloody hell." She swore loudly, before dropping the box. She took a deep breath, before bending down and picking it up and setting it on the bed. She opened the box slowly, before grabbing each pair of clothing and folding it neatly. She had placed each, clothing item in the box. The only she had left out of the box, was the non-decaying rose. It had been held, in a vase under a display case. It was sitting on her dresser, every time she looked at it reminded her of the love she once had. Looking down at her hand, Belle took off the ring slowly, before putting it in the display case that had the rose. She then headed off, to hop in the shower. As she left the rose started to die slowly.

As Belle steps slowly into the restroom, she had reached her hand into the shower to turn the knob to start the water, but something grabbed her hand. "Belle you can't do this…" Rumple had told her, "You can't do this to me…" He had said. Her brown eyes had widened and she pulled back her hand. She pulled back the shower curtain. "You crushed my heart, Rumple. You expect me to forgive you?! You took what we had, and you crushed it." She shouts at the hallucination up in the shower. Finally she turned on the hot water, and she closed the shower curtain. She had slowly unbuttoned the pink shirt, and she slipped off her other garments. She put her hand in through the side of the curtain, to check with the temperature of the water. It was the perfect temperature, she thought to herself. She had slowly got into the shower, with the warm water touching her skin. She moaned slightly as the touch.
