Author's note: here is a new (and short!) oneshot that is set during Austin & Jessie & Ally All-Star New Year! I know that it's not New Year's but I just came up with this idea so I hope you like it!
Ally's POV
I can't believe Austin just performed in Times Square on New Year's Eve! It's always been his dream, and I know that he's really happy. After all that we did to try to get here on time, we finally did get here, and everything went really well!
I was outside at night, alone, when Austin walked up to me.
"Hey," he said, coming to stand beside me.
"Hey," I smiled.
"That was pretty awesome, huh?"
"Yeah," I laughed.
"Remember when Demonica Dixon told me that she could get me playing Times Square?" he asked.
"I remember," I replied, "but you still didn't join her, and now we're here together."
"Ally, I just wanted to thank you for being an awesome songwriter and the best friend I could ever ask for." Austin told me sweetly.
I smiled shyly, blushing. "Thank you, Austin."
He was about to say something when a gust of wind blew in. Now, we're from Miami, and this is New York, in the winter, at night. I shivered.
"It's kind of cold, isn't it?" Austin laughed.
I nodded, shivering.
"Here, I'll help keep you warm." Austin suggested, wrapping me in a big hug.
I smiled in appreciation. I guess Austin and I are just friends, but I still love his hugs. Even so, I've always wondered if we're always just going to stay friends...
I shivered again.
"Austin, my hands are cold." I said.
He took my hands into his. All of a sudden, I felt a lot warmer. Was it just me or was it suddenly not as cold anymore?
Austin looked at me, with a look that I haven't seen before. I blushed, and his hand reached up to touch my cheek.
"Ally, your cheeks are so pink, you must be really cold!" he said.
I nodded again, but I don't know if it was just from the cold. Austin pulled me into another hug, and I burrowed my face into his chest.
It was still really cold, even with Austin doing his best to keep me warm. Who knew that New York could be this cold?
After I shivered again, Austin took off his jacket and put it on me.
"Thanks," I whispered.
It was getting quieter outside, and there was really no one else around. Just the two of us and the night sky.
We finally broke out of our hug, and Austin looked at me.
"Are you still cold?" he asked.
Well, I wasn't really that cold, but there was something romantic about this whole thing. But we're just friends...right? Alright, I'll admit it. I like Austin! But I don't know if he likes me as more than a friend.
I blushed at the thought.
"Ally, I'm getting kind of cold, I need another hug!" Austin laughed.
So I wrapped my arms around him, trying to keep him warm.
"Austin?" I mumbled.
"Yeah? Wait, let me guess. You're cold?"
"Well..." I hesitated. "My lips are cold."
"I think I can help with that..." he replied, smiling.
And then his lips were on mine, and I finally felt warm again, and it was the best feeling in the whole world.
"Are you still cold?" he mumbled against my lips.
I smiled. "Mmm...not anymore."
We broke apart, smiling.
"I like you a lot, Austin." I said.
"I like you too, Ally." he replied, giving me this really cute look that just made me melt a little.
He put his arm around me, and then it was just the two of us, in the big city of New York, but all that mattered was that we were here together to be with each other.
We stood in the silence for a bit, then Austin spoke.
"So...do you want to go out sometime?"
I smiled. "That sounds awesome."
Then Austin hugged me again, and I don't think I've ever been quite this happy.
Author's note: Sorry it was short, that tends to happen when I run out of ideas. As usual, I hope you liked it, and if not, feedback is always appreciated!
