This one-shot was inspired by Stone Sour's song 'Through Glass'. I hope you enjoy!-JasZ
Klaus has always been one to look through glass, always plotting, always being the one to be a step ahead. Always alone in his head… he doesn't know who to reach out. How to interact with those who know or heard of his past. Hell he doesn't know the loyalty his siblings have toward him. Maybe the reason is that he's always been painted like the villain in a fairy-tale, always being the one to inflict harm because his siblings are too soft. A true bastard in more than one away.
How much of it is real? All the stories that are spread like wildfire? How many will believe the stories are true? Everyone assumes that he has no heart. No soul that carries remorse. Always describing the emptiness in his eyes. Always out for blood. The joy he takes on killing just for fun.
No one takes to consideration that he's a broken man. A man that yearns to reach out to his family. To be the best for his daughter and will place his life on the line for her. Yet the mother of his daughter. Calls him a monster and tries to take his little girl away. What can he do? He's a desperate man that wants the best for his baby. No one can tell him otherwise.
He has told Hayley time and time again that he knows what's best for his daughter. Yet the female hybrid thinks his a loon talking out of his ass. She always assumes he wants the attention. To use his daughter to create hybrids. Making foolish decisions that nearly cost his daughter. That cost the life of his youngest brother.
If it wasn't for him, she wouldn't have her pack. Have the doting husband, which he's starting to detest a little more each damn day. He can't seem to get her to see his version of things. She'll easily point a finger on him and place the blame on him. He doubts she'll see that he's innocent after spilling so much blood upon the soil they step on each day.
It has to be her way or the highway. She's gone as after as pinning his siblings against him. A betrayal he will never get over. How dare she and his siblings try to think he wouldn't do whatever it took to save his daughter? Hayley is doing what his mother had down to his father.
He refuses to have Hope go through what he went through with Mikael. He will not allow Jackson harm his daughter when he's tired of running and hiding. To sit back and allow anyone to harm his baby girl. He will not sit back and watch. He will not look through Glass when it comes to his daughter. Nor will he sit there looking as Hayley assumes she can prance away with his child.
That is why he allowed curse to be placed upon her. He will no longer be the only one looking through glass. The woman that birthed his daughter will be the one watching from afar as he stands beside his daughter and protects her against all odds. She'll finally understand how it feels to be the one looking through glass.
