Percy POV
It was a warm summer evening. Things where quiet at camp. Things where perfect for me and Annabeth after the war was over because was defeated. And 2. We finally hooked up after five long years of "secretly" crushing on each other. So yeah things were pretty calm around here. It was bliss.
"Hey Percy?" Annabeth asked while lying on my chest as we were lying on the beach watching the sunset.
"Yeah Anna?' I replied.
"Do you wanna go do something this Friday?" She asked.
"Sure! Where would you like to go?" I asked
"I don't know, I want you to pick."
"Um, how about we see a movie?" I asked sitting up while brushing the sand off my back.
"Great! Pick me up Friday at 7:30 I don't really care what we watch." She said while standing up to walk away.
"OK, see you then!"
"K, bye!" She said while jogging to her cabin and me to mine.
Friday night 6:52.
I was wearing a pair of blue jeans and the usual Tee-shirt, when I looked at the clock in my cabin and decided to go pick up Annabeth. I was walking to the Athena cabin when I saw a familiar figure standing at the door. She was in a pair of blue jeans and a Tee-shirt like me, but her curly hair was in a loose pony-tail.
"Hey Annabeth! What are you doing out here?" I wondered.
"Huh? Oh hi Percy! I'm just excited for tonight!" She replied.
"Oh, OK. Well are you ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah! Hey Percy what are we going to see?" She wondered as we started to walk to the camp van where Argus was going to drive us into the city.
" We're going to see Harry Potter and the half blood prince. I replied.
"Oh sweet! Hey, did you know that Dumbledore dies in the end?" She asked excitedly.
"No but thanks for spoiling the end for me!" I joked
"Aww, your welcome!" She laughed while getting in the van.
After the movie.
"Wow that was better than the book! But the hand that popped out of the water was sort of expected." Annabeth said while we walked out of the theater, and hailed a cap to go get something to eat before returning to camp.
"Yeah, but you still got scared. It was a good thing I was their to protect you." I replied.
"Whatever Mr. I-yelp-like-a-girl." She said in a matter of fact tone.
"Yeah, yeah whatever. Come on we're here." I said while hopping out of the cab and opening the door to the restaurant.
After ordering
"I'll be right back." Annabeth said while walking off to the bathroom.
"OK." I replied but she was already gone.
"You got to tell her, you got to tell her now!!" Said my inner voice.
"What! No, not now I'm not ready! Besides what if she doesn't love me back what would happen then?" I fought back.
"Yes you are! Don't think like that! If you think it then it might come true and we won't want that to happen right?" It argued.
Before I could respond Annabeth was back and so was the food.
"Hey Percy! Ooh this looks good!" She said while sitting down.
I sighed and said "Annabeth, can I tell you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" She asked.
"Annabeth we have been friends forever-"
"What Percy where are you taking this?" She asked?
"Just here me out OK?" I continued. "We have been through so much together and I think it's time to say." I said as I grabbed her hands.
"Annabeth, I love you. I have loved you for such a long time now I just couldn't find out the right time to tell you." I said.
"Percy I love you too!" She said with tears forming in her eyes and kissing me then rapping me in a tight hug.
I didn't want this to end but she pulled a part.
"I'm really hungry anymore I'm sorry." She said while wiping tears out of her eyes.
"Yeah me neither." I replied
After we paid the bill we went back to camp and fell asleep on the beach. It was the best night ever...
