Axel and Lioness After Showdown
Lioness's POV
It was a relief for me that Paine was behind bars it was actually a relief for all of us….especially Axel.
But I felt Axel was still upset about something.
"Axel are you ok?" I asked.
"I've been better." Replied Axel. "Now with Paine behind bars I can find out what happened to my Dad but at the moment something else is worrying me."
"Can I ask what it is?" I asked.
"It's a person and she's standing in front of me." Replied Axel. "I don't know if we can be together with this mystery of My Dad still clouding me."
"Axel don't you think your Dad would want you to have a day where you can be with someone close to you?" I asked in the sweetest way I could think of.
Axel sighed.
"Li I'm sorry I was horrible to you I was thinking you didn't want me to find out what happened to my Dad and I was wrong to think you didn't care I want to be one of the best friends you ever had." Said Axel.
I smiled.
"Axel you're one of my bestest friends already since you've saved me a lot of times." I Smiled. "To me that's worth something and I hope it does to you as well."
Axel smiled he knew I cared about him to dearly to see him become like Paine one day just one day the time will be right for him and me to take our friendship to the next step.
"You don't mind if I kiss you on the check?" I asked.
"Go ahead." Axel smiled and I kissed his check. "Why did you ask to do it?"
"Because one day once you've found out what happened to your Dad maybe just maybe we may become something more than best friends maybe even lovers." I smiled and Axel nodded glad to have a friend like me.
