"KATNISS!"

Those were the only words that Katniss could remember before Prim died. First her father, now her beloved little sister. She is the perfect sister. She was the perfect sister. Katniss had cut off all contact from everyone, especially Gale, since she thought that he made the bombs that killed her sister. Throughout the past five weeks, Katniss had been gaining condolences from Beetee, Enobaria, Johanna, even Haymitch! The one who gave her the most sympathy was Peeta, who had been sending her cards and flowers. Peeta, the one who she had fallen in love with and the one who was hijacked thanks to Snow.

"Why? WHY DID YOU TAKE PRIM? SHE WAS JUST HELPING PEOPLE AND YOU TAKE HER AWAY ANYWAY!" Katniss screeched with tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.

After Prim died, Katniss have spent these past few weeks mourning the loss of her sister. She started eating less food and her new routine became sitting on the rocking chair crying until she either fell asleep, feed Buttercup, or get some food. She was starting to become just like her mother. Katniss felt like she had no one. She thought that she was abandoned by everyone who knew her, even Buttercup! Katniss had been keeping her hygiene, but she's been wearing the same clothes ever since Prim was killed, which was a long-sleeved blue shirt, olive green leggings, and gray slip-ons. Katniss closed her eyes, praying to have Prim back. Suddenly, she saw a pale light entering the darkness of her closed eyes.

"I'm not in the mood for ghosts," Katniss said in a depressing tone. She had expected some ghost of Prim to appear in front of her, but it never happened. Katniss got up from the chair, but once she did she had to hold on to it since she hadn't moved in weeks. She walked up to the window near the front door and found a shocking surprise. She saw Peeta in her front yard, planting multiple primroses everywhere. She looked up and saw that it was also a full moon, which may have been the source of the light.

"Peeta. He's here!" Katniss gasped with shock. She opened the door and walked towards Peeta, who saw her a few seconds later. He smiled and started walking towards her while Katniss was beginning to run towards him. At last, Katniss made it to Peeta and hugged him as tight as she could while Peeta returned the hug. After three full minutes, the two teens released from their embrace.

"I'm so sorry." Peeta finally spoke. Tears once again started to form in Katniss' eyes.

"I miss her so much, Peeta! Because of these Games, I lost my sister!" Katniss cried.

"Don't worry, Katniss. These Games are over. No more innocent children will get killed or have to suffer thanks to the Capitol the way that Prim, Rue, and everyone else did." Peeta reassured. A little spark of hope returned in Katniss again. She them looked around and saw all of the primroses.

"What made you do this?" Katniss asked.

Peeta paused for a few minute, trying to come up with a good response for Katniss. The last thing she needs is a stupid response after weeks of mourning her little sister. Tears actually started to fill Peeta's eyes just looking at Katniss. She looked so pale and weak and it looks like she hasn't eaten in weeks. To think that the Games could mess up an innocent teen so badly to the point where she was probably gonna have to seek medical help.

"I thought that your sister should be remembered in the right way possible. Plus, I hoped that this would give you some comfort after everything that has happened these past few months." Peeta finally answered. Katniss kissed Peeta on the cheek and hugged him once more with tears finally streaming down her pale cheeks. Peeta once again returned the hug.

"It worked."
