I decided to bring this baby back. I edited it a little bit because there were a few mistakes. I'll try to update this one soon, but I don't know when because I'm kind of busy, but I aim to please. Hope you enjoy!
Forgiveness
Ten years. It had been ten years since the love of his life had said goodbye to him. They were spending eternity in that Goddamned house, she had to forgive him sometime. But not just Violet, her parents too, especially her mother. The only thing he wanted more than Violet's touch was her and her family's forgiveness, and he wanted Violet's touch more than a bee wants to sting.
Vivien starred out the window of the master bedroom for God knows how long before Ben wrapped his muscly arms around her waist. For a few minutes, they stood there gazing out the window watching kids play on their parent's yards, and parents sitting outside talking with their friends. Vivien broke their stance and sat down on a wooden chair. "Ben, I'm forgiving Tate." She looked him straight in the eyes with her long straight face.
"What?"
"Viv, he raped you." The word gave her goose bumps all over her arms.
"And he killed those kids at Westfield! And Chad and Patrick! I mean he's a psychopath, Viv!"
"But why does that mean we cant forgive him, Ben!?" She yelled.
He stood silent.
"I understand if you don't want to forgive him, Ben. But it's been ten years and we're going to be stuck here forever, might as well be civil."
When he didn't respond Vivien sighed and walked out the door.
Tate had been very lonely. He spent most of his days in the back of the basement. Hayden often tried to seduce him, but he never gave in. "Tate?" Vivien's voice called out. He was hesitant. "Tate, it's ." He still didn't move. "Tate, I'm not going to hurt you. Please come talk to me." Before she knew it a tall, dark shadow came out of the back. "Hi," He practically whispered. He didn't look her in the eye, but Vivien put her hand on his face causing him to look into her eyes. A tear shed from his left eye. "Tate, it's okay." Her eyes stared deep into his black eyes, she saw his soul through his eyes. She knew it was there. "I forgive you." Hearing those words from her meant the world to him, he thought he'd never hear them again. "I'm so sorry!" He screeched while sobbing. "I know, Tate. I know." Without disturbing Tate's sob, she walked up the stairs.
The Kinks were blasting from Violet's Room so loud, she almost didn't hear the knock on her door. Violet sighed and turned her music off and opened the door.
"Hi," Her mother said perkily. Violet didn't shift from her position.
"Can we talk, Violet?"
Violet opened her door a little more and took a seat on her bed.
"What's up, mom?" She said sarcastically.
"I forgave Tate."
Violets mouth opened slightly.
"I don't want you to think that you can't forgive him just because I didn't for the longest time."
"So that's the only reason you forgave him, because you want me to be friends with him again?"
"No, Vi, that's not it at all. I just," She let herself stop talking to recollect her thoughts.
"I just want you to know that if you want to forgive him, I wouldn't be mad at you."
They starred at each other for a while. Then Vivien walked towards the door.
"I love you."
"I love you, too, mom." Violet murmured. Vivien walked out silently. Vivien hadn't heard Violet say those words to her since she was twelve. Violet wanted to forgive Tate, every since that night she said goodbye. But she knew it was the wrong thing to do.
