N's pov.
As I walked along the side of the river, I noticed that one of my Pokemon friends was following me. I smiled. "Hello there Zoroa."
"Come on N. Let's see what the other humans are doing!" It barked.
"But, what if they see us?" Since I grew up with Pokemon, I understand them. I was orphaned at a young age, and have never seen my parents. A Zoroark and a few other Pokemon had taken me in. They told me to stay away from humans, who captured Pokemon.
"What are you? A Rattata with his tail between his legs? Who knows, we may see a human your age, and maybe even your real family."
"Fine. But if they try to capture you, don't say I didn't tell you so." We then walked on to the edge of the forest, until I saw a baby Snivy come running with a girl about two years younger than me. She had brown hair that was put in a ponytail. She wore a pink t-shirt, and blue shorts.
"Snivy! Come back!" She yelled. However, she wasn't watching where she was going, and tripped. I watched the Snivy notice her mishap and trot back. The grass-type Pokemon then asked if she was ok. She nodded and sat up. I noticed that Zoroa was not at my heel anymore and I looked around. I then saw that there were two Snivys. Oh great! My friend must have transformed and now he's going to get caught. I ran out of the bush that I was hiding under and they notice me.
She then got up and walked over with the real Snivy on her shoulder. Zoroa turned back into the little fox Pokemon and was now on my shoulder. I then saw the girl hold out her hand.
"Hi, my name's White. What's yours?"
"Umm, my name's N. Is that your Snivy?" I asked nervously. I had never talked to another human before. Well, except for that weird guy with green hair like mine that comes into the forest sometimes.
"No. This pokemon is the professor's. My two friends and I are going to go on a journey when we get older, and then my brother, Black, is going to start his. This Snivy and I are playing, and when I go on my journey, she's going to be my partner."
"Well, that's nice. I gotta go, See ya." I said as I began to walk back.
"Bye bye." She said waving at me. I smiled. That was the first time that I spoke to another kid like me. Zoroa then jumped off my shoulder.
"Told you that you would meet someone new."
