I.O.U.
AN: So I was listening to Dappy's song I.O.U and this is what comes to my head.
Chapter one I'm not angry with you.
Jane Rizzoli slammed the phone down she was angry, no she was fuming god dam Maura Isles. 'How could she not tell me I'm her best friend' Jane thought to herself as she stormed out of the bull pen and into the elevator. As soon as the elevator doors closed Jane just lost it and started punching the doors, leaving several dints in the door and what she thought was a fractured wrist. The doors opened and she stormed into the morgue Suzie tried to say hello but Jane walked past her and straight into Maura's office slamming the door behind her.
Maura jumped hearing her door slam she looked up to see a fuming Jane.
"What's the matter?" Maura asked worried about her friend.
"How could you not tell me?" Jane shouted.
"You'll have to be more specific." Maura said.
"Ian." Jane stated.
"What about him." Maura asked.
"I've been on the phone with for the past half an hour." Jane replied.
"Jane you knew he was in town, he was here for his sister's wedding nearly a month ago." Maura said.
"I know he was here Maura." Jane said.
"Then why are you so angry?" Maura asked as she stood up and went over to Jane.
"He told me to pass a message onto you because he didn't want to tell you himself." Jane said.
"What was the message?" Maura asked.
"These are his exact words 'tell Maura that I'm sorry I won't be there to help raise our child but tell her I'll always be thinking about the two of you and if you ever reconsider his offer to come to Africa and raise your baby there then he'll do everything in his power to make sure your both happy." Jane said.
Maura just looked shocked she hadn't told Jane yet about her pregnancy, she was going to but she didn't know how to bring it up.
"Jane I was going to tell you about it, I just didn't know how to bring it up." Maura said.
"How about hey Jane when Ian was last in town we fucked now I'm pregnant and he asked me to come to Africa with him. I think that would have been a good start." Jane shouted.
"We didn't fuck Jane that is a horrible word to use. We…" Maura said but was interrupted by Jane.
"You what? Made love?" Jane asked.
"Not that it's any of your business but yes we made love Ian is the love of my life." Maura said.
"No your right it's none of my business because best friends don't tell each other everything do they?" Jane asked.
"I didn't mean it like that Jane." Maura said.
"It would have been nice to know that my best friend a person I see as family can't tell me that she's having a baby then I guess were not as close as I thought we was." Jane said heading for the door.
"Jane please don't leave like this." Maura said.
"Everything that needs to be said has already been said in my eyes. I'll see you around Doctor Isles." Jane said as she slammed the door behind her.
Maura slumped in her chair and started to cry she's just lost her best friend and the woman she was in love with all because of Ian.
Jane walked into her lieutenant's office and asked for a transfer to the S.W.A.T. unit, she knew she'd regret this decision eventually but right now she needed to get away from Maura. She loved Maura in more than a friendly way but now Maura's having Ian's baby he heart is shattered. She needed time to pick up the pieces and rebuild her heart.
