Explanation-
Before Ocarina of Time, there was a war, as said in Hyrule Historia. Link's mother gave him to the Great Deku Tree. This is the story of Link's mother, Zamisha, 1 month before Link was born.
"Oh! The armies are getting ready. That must mean those nasty Gerudos are attacking again," Zamisha stated. Going on was a war between the Gerudos and Hylians. Hyrule was currently winning. "Hopefully Danko will be ok," Zamisha worried. Danko was her husband, and a fighter in the army. The battle commenced right before Zamisha's eyes. The Hylians won. After the battle, Danko came home.
"That was a tough battle. One soldier tried to attack me with her spear and I almost got hit! But still we won. That's the army spirit!" Danko explained. Zamisha loved to listen to his stories. "But enough about me. How's the baby?" Danko asked. Zamisha was 8 months pregnant.
"Danko, I didn't give birth YET! Stop fooling around! Anyway, we should start to get ready for bed," Zamisha said. So they did. The month was passing by with the battles against the Gerudos getting more and more dangerous. Zamisha was starting to get worried. One day there was a battle in front of her house and she noticed Danko was about to die.
Zamisha jumped into the way and got stabbed in the stomach. Danko rushed her to the doctors. Zamisha and the baby were possibly going to die.
"Only a miracle can save her, Danko. I'm sorry," The doctor said. Danko wept for his wife, holding her hand and begging her not to leave him. Zamisha was on the verge of death, but then her miracle happened.
Zamisha had a dream with a spirit in it. The spirit was in the shape of a huge tree.
"Zamisha, the gods will not let you pass. For your baby is going to save Hyrule from destruction," The giant tree told her. Suddenly Zamisha sees an image of her child in the Kokiri Forest, strong and brave.
"My... son..."Zamisha said. Back in reality, a golden glow surrounded her. The doctor and Danko were flabbergasted.
"Zamisha? Are you... alive?" Danko asked. Zamisha opened her eyes and smiled. "Zamisha!" Danko squealed.
A month passed in the blink of an eye. One night, Zamisha screamed, "THE BABY IS COMING!" Danko rushed her to the hospital once more. She soon gave birth.
"What shall we name him?" Danko asked.
"Link. We will name him Link," Zamisha decided. Out of nowhere Gerudos invaded the room, killed Danko and the doctor. Zamisha got out of her bed with Link and ran as fast as she could to the Forbidden Forest. The stalfos in the forest had wounded her badly, so she almost bled to death. However, she reached Kokiri Forest.
"What's going on? Are you ok, ms.?" A Kokiri asked.
"Take... me ... to the... tree..." Zamisha requested. The Kokiri lead her to the Great Deku Tree. "Please... watch over my son..." She asked the Deku Tree.
"I will. It is sad you will be leaving us, but your son will grow up to be a great hero!" The Great Deku Tree told her. "Goodbye," With that the story of Zamisha ended. She however risked her life for her son, and it saved Hyrule.
