Nero looked around. The darkness was suffocating him. He wanted to scream, but no sound came. He saw a small, bright dot in front of him. He ran and ran, but he never reached it. He wanted to scream in frustration, but his scream was silenced by the pure nothingness. Then he heard a faint voice of someone, calling his name. The bright dot widened... And... Nero woke up screaming, Dante next to him trying to calm down the boy. After Nero calmed down, he saw Dante's face, twisted in fear. He noticed another thing. Even though Trish and Lady were here, they weren't there to comfort him. They didn't care enough for him. But Dante was there, and the look on his face made Nero want to comfort the elder, tell him that everything was okay, and that it was only a nightmare. The dream made Nero realise one thing. What would he leave behind when he will die? Only hurt and scars. "Hey, Dante. I want you to know one thing, that when my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done. Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed, and don't resent me, when you're feeling empty, keep me in your memory, and please... Leave out all the rest" Dante's calm form trembled a bit, his arm muscles twitching. Nero nodded, and Dante brushed the younger man's hair out of the face and smiled. "No need to get emotional, Dante.. Don't be afraid... I've taken what I could, I've shared what I made"Nero said, laying his head on the pillows. "You're strong on the outside, Nero, but inside, you're as fragile as a shard of glass..." Dante said, bringing Nero closer to himself. "I haven't been perfect" Nero said, turning his head away. "But neither have I" Dante countered, bringing Nero's face close to his, so that Nero could smell the pizza he ate at the evening. The older man kissed Nero and the young demon hunter forgot all the hurt inside that he hid so well, pretended that Dante could save him from himself, and that he couldn't be the one he hated the most.
