Supernatural: Responsibility
A/N: Hello to my fans! I'm glad I got a review for my last one shot and I'm looking forward to getting more reviews on my other stories, too.
I HAD intended to post this two days ago, but RL got in the way, so here it is.
Read, review, and enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything from Supernatural. I just own any and all characters that I just happen create.
DEAN: KEEPING A PROMISE
When Sam was first born a full five weeks early, both Dean and Liz had vowed to keep their little brother safe. This vow took them through their entire childhood and still applied even now that they were all adults. Dean had voiced certain concerns when Sam volunteered to lure Bloody Mary into her mirror in order to destroy her, and had wanted to know what he was keeping as a secret even after they'd defeated Mary with a second mirror.
Sadly, Sam had refused to talk, so Dean decided to not push the subject for the time being. He chose to tease Sam about keeping contact with his friends at Stanford, although that contact led to them helping Rebecca clear her brother's name after a shape-shifter had killed his girlfriend. That hadn't been one of Dean's better days, between being kidnapped by the shape-shifter and having it take his necklace and their mom's ring after he'd captured Liz, who he had the nerve to drug, and Sam, too.
He had taken some grim pleasure in shooting the shape-shifter with Liz's help, bringing the end to the nightmare and getting their treasures back intact. Sam had teased him afterwards since the cops now assumed he was dead and had killed all those women, but he joked right back about missing his own funeral.
Dean had always griped about Sam's college years, but he found he kind of liked the frat houses of a local college while dealing with an actual Hook Man, who was killing those who practiced immoral things. He finally told Sam that their dad would swing by Stanford whenever he could to check on him while they were busy trying to save a family from an Indian curse that had caused the bugs in a select area to kill everyone for a specific numbers of days. The curse had been placed 200 years ago and reacted to the land being developed, and they had managed to come out intact. Now they were all more determined to find their dad safe and sound.
A/N: Yeah, they need their dad. R&R everyone!
