This is just a quick intro to my new Story entitled Smoke and Mirrors. Hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1 - The Mission
Quakes POV
Today was like any other training day. The Titans went out on a mission to stop a robbery attempt and I stayed behind because they wanted me to train more. It's been 3 months since I was brought into the Titans as a trainee and not a day goes by that I regret doing it. My life has become infinitely better since then. Sure I miss my sister Tracy, and my parents to an extent, but I do get to see her every day when her school day ends. I was training with a few dozen punching bags when the Titans returned from their call. They looked completely beaten, and Beast Boy was complaining about it. I just stuck to my training until it was complete, then I'd ask what happened.
I finished up my training and headed up to the Titans control room. The other Titans were up there talking about their failed mission. Apparently three villains named Gizmo, Mammoth and Jinx had gotten a lot better than the first time they fought the Titans and the Titans wanted to know how. I stayed in the shadows and listened in on their conversation. "We need to figure out how and where they got so good at beating us," Cyborg said. "I already took care of that, I planted a tracer on Jinx when they fled." Robin replied. "Alright, now we can hit them right in their home turf." Beast Boy said. "No, we need to figure out what they're planning first. Which means someone's going to have to go undercover as one of them." Cyborg said. "Ohohoh, pick me, I'm great at undercover ops, watch," Beast Boy said as he changed into an anteater, then a monkey. Raven then said, "Yeah, who wouldn't suspect a green monkey?", Raven said. "Then who will we send friends," Starfire said. "I'm not sure yet." Robin said. I didn't stick around to hear anymore, they wouldn't choose me. After all I was still unproven.
Later that night Robin and Raven came to my room in the Tower to speak with me. "What do you guys want?" I asked them. "Quake, we've decided to give you your first solo mission." I bolted upright on my bed, looked at them and said, "Are you serious?" "Very, we need you to infiltrate the H.I.V.E. Academy and find out what they're doing." I was surprised at this. "Are you sure? I haven't proven myself yet, I could really mess this up." "That's the point, they don't know you're one of us. You're an unknown to them, and that's why you'll succeed." Raven said. "So this is real? I get my first solo mission and it's the biggest one we have had so far. Gee thanks for the pressure." I said. "Alright, this is how it's going to work," Robin said.
Like I said, just a quick chapter. I got more planned, but I'm also working on my Halo Crossover story.
