It is said that just before you die, all your past life rushes before your eyes.
But all I can see is the wrecked, wooden ceiling above my head.
I feel bitter.
It wasn't supposed to end like this. Not like this.
I guess that deep inside my heart I hoped to survive... to somehow take a part in the final battle... to clear my name... to get a chance of living my life the way I wanted to...
And yet here I lay, in a pool of my own blood, desperately squeezing my wound like it would change anything.
My vision blurring, slowing pulse thumping in my ears.
I failed at my mission... The mission I swore to myself I would complete.
I see green eyes... So familiar.
Lily?
No... it's not her
Harry... Lily's son.
I gather all my strenght that is left and relase my memories, urging the boy to take them.
Let him see... Let him see I am not the monster he assumes I am... I want him to know why... I want him to forgive me... I want anyone to forgive me.
My grip on the boy's robe is slacking.
I have no time left.
'Look ... at ... me ...' I barely whisper.
We lock our gazes for the split of second.
Those beautiful green eyes... I wish I could look at them for the whole eternity.
