Hold On To Dreams
Message to the readers: If you don't like God, or just don't believe in Him, and His awesomeness,(there is that a word?!) then we do not suggest you read this, (unless you're a deadhard Seddie fan. xD)
"Fredward, that's not gonna work. I keep telling you that." Sam glared at Freddie as usual.
"Shut up, Sam. It is going to work! I'll make sure it does." He agrued back.
"How? Using that huge brain you have?"
"As a matter of fact, yes, Sam."
Freddie pulled on both ends of the string, sealing it with the balloon. "Freddie, you can't just believe what's on the internet. You should know that better than Carly and me." He did not look up. He stood up, holding the balloon tightly as the wind began to pick up.
"Do you actually believe someone's going to find your message?" Sam crossed her arms on her chest. For the first time, Freddie turned to her. "Maybe, maybe not. One way of finding out." And with that, he let go of the balloon. Tied to it, a piece of paper, was a picture of Freddie, on the back was written his name, age, and phone number in case someone out there just happened to find his balloon.
Sam frowned; the balloon flew higher and higher into the sky. "Maybe it's going to heaven." She murmured. More to herself than to Freddie. But he still heard it. Even though Sam and he hated each other, he still smiled. "Maybe."
The sky was darkening, but Freddie could still see the blush on Sam's cheeks. "Think God's watching us right now?"
"Maybe. What do you think?"
"I think He's pulling on that balloon even as we speak." Sam paused and breathed in deep. "I think He's leading your balloon to somewhere where someone needs some kind of hope."
Freddie stared at her. Smiling, he slipped his fingers into her hand. He tangled both their fingers together. "I hope you're right, Sam. Or – more like, I know you're right Sam." She laughed softly.
"Maybe I'm just crazy." She held onto his hand tighter.
"You are, but I think you're still an amazing girl." Soon, the balloon disappeared as it flew into a passing cloud.
"I think God caught it, Freddie." He smiled.
"I think He did."
"Wanna get a smoothie?"
"Sure Sam." They walked off as the twilight became black.
Miles away from Seattle, a little girl in a white dress was playing outside in her yard. When she glanced up at the sky she gasped, gliding lower and lower was a purple balloon. The little girl pointed to the balloon and yelled for her mother. The mother immediately running as soon as she heard her daughter yelling.
"What is it, honey?" She asked, sitting down near her daughter.
"Mommy, look, a balloon!" The mother looked toward the sky. Sure enough, a balloon floated down to them and landed in on the grass.
"Mommy, there's a note." The mother grabbed the deflated balloon, on the end of the string was a note and a picture. "What do you know? There is a note." She carefully untied the knot on the picture and message. She held it with both her hands.
"What does it say, mommy?" As the mother finished reading it, she burst into tears.
Never forget that He
Is always watching you.
He will never leave you,
Keep Him in your heart
As He does with you.
There will always be hope
For the future
Just keep holding
On to dreams.
Remember
He loves you, now and
Through eternity.
The mother wrapped her arms around her daughter and gently rocked her back and forward. The daughter looked at her mother then to the note and to her mother again. "Who's 'He', mommy?" She finally asked.
"He's God, honey."
