The funeral was a week after it happened. It was debated whether to let fans attend or not, but it was decided that if people were willing to fly from wherever they lived to support her family then they should be allowed to say their goodbyes in person. 30,000 people showed up. There would have been more, but there were money, time, and space restraints. It was held outside, and it was sunny and warm. The guys sang for her one last time. They sang the last bit of song that Kirstie had written. they taught Kirstie's part to the crowd, but they barely got a few bars in before the whole crowd started sobbing again.

But it was sunny, and it was warm.

After the funeral, the group disbanded. Pentatonix was no more. Scott had completely lost his mind, he was put in an insane asylum and wrote I'm sorry, its my fault, should have seen him coming, forgive me and the lyrics to Run To You all over the walls of his cell. Kirstie became Mitch's trigger, if someone said her name, or laughed like her, or reminded him of her in any way, he would drop right there and sob uncontrollably, even in the middle of the street. Avi had taken Kirstie's death the best, and became Mitch's caretaker and visited Scott the most frequently, although he still cried himself to sleep most nights, and jolted awake from the night terrors. Kevin visited Kirstie's grave every day. He would sit next to her headstone and talk to her. He knew she probably couldn't hear him, but it helped. He also brought her flowers when the ones she had wilted.

The pentaholics remained so, even after the boys disbanded. No one blamed them for doing so. They sent Scott presents frequently, in hopes that they'd cheer him up, but he never even knew they were there. Sometimes fans would even visit her grave, bearing gifts or just kind thoughts and words. They'd sit with Kevin and talk to him. He seemed to enjoy their company. Avi chose to keep his and Mitch's address a secret, but fans would see them around, and when they did they'd just hug Avi for the longest time, he often cried on their shoulders, and the fans would either cry with him, or just let him cry. Mitch was the rarest to be seen by a fan, as they tended to bring up bad thoughts for him simply by being a fan. he'd think "oh Kirstie would-" and not even finish his thought before losing his grip on reality in tears. the fans quickly learned this and tried their hardest to not let him know they were a pentaholic, even though it broke their hearts. Every year on her birthday, the fans would light candles in her honor, all over the world. Her gravestone would shine like a beacon that day.

It was said, that the night of her birthday, when all her candles are lit, you can still hear her laugh, and sing. Those days are the best, because those days are:

always sunny and always warm.
