"We will not be able to marry, you know."

A sigh.

"Of course, love, I realized it long ago."

"It is a shame."

Silence.

"Do the people really believe that marriage is the only option?"

"If the people knew of us, we would be shunned from society."

"It is not well accepted then?"

"No."

Another silence, this one longer than the last.

"Above they don't believe. But below, there are no such restrictions."

"Below? I cannot live the rest of my days below."

"It would not be forever, love. As soon as I work up the courage, I would go anywhere- as long as you would accompany me."

"You know that I would."

"Then one day, I promise to be strong."

"Then I will promise to follow."

"Anywhere?"

"Of course."

Another deathly silence.

"Persia?"

"Hmm?"

"We could go to Persia."

"Persia would be nice, though I am, of course, partial to Italy."

"We could go to Persia, then we could go to Italy. Travel the world."

"I would so love to see the world."

"Then it is decided?"

"Of course, my love. The world."

And with that, Erik placed a kiss to Piangi's brow.

Erik awoke with in a cold sweat, nearly knocking Christine out of bed. She sat up and stared at him with wide eyes.

"Erik? Are you quite alright?" she asked, placing a delicate hand on her husband's arm. Erik nodded, his eyes wide.

"Only a dream…"He assured himself in a shaky voice. "Only a dream…"

Oh, gosh. I'm going to get so flamed for this one. "Lyk, OmG dat groooooosssss!"

I do not own the Phantom of the Opera. Nor am I an E/P shipper.
