It was a cool fall night in mid October, the smell of firewood, apple cider, and fall leaves hung in the air. Spencer Hastings and her boyfriend of a year Toby Cavanaugh sat on a picnic blanket on their usual spot on a hill overlooking Rosewood. Spencer snuggled up into Toby's chest and sighed. "Hey, what's wrong?" he said stroking her hair. "Oh nothing I just never want to leave its so peaceful up here only us and the stars the rest of the world isn't here to judge us." Spencer whispered "Spence you know I will never ever let anything happen to you I love you way to much" Toby reassured and leaned to kiss her head. "I know that" Spencer looked up "But after what happened last time and everything that's going on I can't help but be worried" "Spencer Jill Hastings look at me" Toby said seriously "I love you more than anything in the whole wide world, and I know we've had our ups and downs but that's not going to stop me from loving you always I'll protect you from "A" and from anyone or anything that tries to get in your way, I'll always be your safe place to land just remember that." By the end of Toby's small speech tears had started to well up in Spencer's chocolate brown eyes, she leaned in and kiss him passionately only breaking away when air was needed. "I know you mean that Tobes I love you so much" Toby leaned in a kissed her again and was kissing all around her neck and collar bones. Toby broke away from her neck "Spence I know that sometimes your parents can be rough but just remember you've got me, Hanna, Aria, and Emily all looking out for you" Spencer nodded her head to lost in the moment to say anything. She curled up more into Toby's side and wrapped her arms around his torso nuzzling under the blankets. "I'll be right back" Toby whispered and gave her a quick peck on the lips. He went to his truck and grabbed marsh-mellow's, hershey chocolate bars, graham crackers, a thermos full of freshly made warm hot chocolate and a wrapped box. When he came back Spencer was still in a gaze under the blankets, Toby threw some wood into the fire, and put a marsh-mellow on a stick for Spencer and one on a stick for himself. "Smores and hot chocolate? You really are the world's greatest boyfriend" she grinned. Toby smiled he always loved to see Spencer smile she was so beautiful when she did. Spencer took her marsh-mellow off the stick and put it on top of the chocolate and smushed it into a sandwich and took a bite. "Mmmmm still my favorite" she closed her eyes to savor every bite. Toby took a bite out of his and grinned he leaned in to kiss Spencer her lips tasted like chocolate and sugar from the marsh-mellows. When Spencer pulled away for air she laughed and laid back down on the blanket and nuzzled into Toby. "Spencer your the most beautiful, talented, smart, independent woman I have ever met" Toby handed her the wrapped box Spencer gave him a kiss and unwrapped the wrapping inside was a Tiffany's box, she took off the white ribbon and opened the blue box, inside was a pure diamond heart shaped necklace she gasped "Oh my gosh, Toby this is beautiful it must have cost a fortune I mean Tiffany's!" "Your worth every penny Spence" he whispered and put on the necklace for her. "Just remember that I love you to the moon and back" Toby said and gave her a soft gentle kiss. "I love you to Tobes to the moon and back always" she whispered with tears in her eyes. "Always" he replied.
