A'enara dematerialised from Alex's hands. She sat herself down on th edge of the boundaries.. After the long, strenuous day, she felt exhausted, both mentally and physically.

The Tia Aurans had one main condition before they agreed to fight with Medora against Aven. The Gates of Testing had to be passed.

Now, when Alex heard this, she obviously agreed. They didn't have much other choice. But what she didn't anticipate was Kaiden being involved too.

The people of Tia Aura had already warned her the testing process would be difficult and she did not want anything to happen to , just like always, Kaiden had stepped in and agreed to their conditions.

Both him and Alex had somewhat struggled through in the first, physical phase, their bodies absolutely exerted by the end.

Alex, with her Meyarian abilities, at least was on more equal footing with the strong Tia Auran warriors. Without her heightened speed and senses, she wouldn't have stood a chance against them. This didn't mean, however, that she did not have multiple cuts and bruises from wear she had been hit.

This phase had been even harder for Kaiden. With no Meyarian blood to assist him, he had to draw on every bit of natural strength he had. Epsilon Combat had never seemed easier until now. He was visibly pushed to his limit, teetering on the edge of giving up. But something lit a spark inside him and he made a strong move which resulted in him passing.

The second phase, that she had just completed, was harder, testing their gifts and their ability to control and use them.

Alex had more trouble than she usually did, building walls around her mind, as her will power was tested by not one, but three mind readers. As they were from Tia Aura, their abilities were much more heightened than anyone from Medora.

But with some effort she had passed, and now, sitting on the boundary of the football field-like arena looking at Kaiden who was deeply concentrated, she hoped he could do the same.

My Kailex poem duology will be complete tomorrow so anticipate that! Can't wait to write something else for you guys!
