Chapter 1: A fallen star

North watched silently as the dark haired girl pulled her bow string taught, raising the stardust covered arrow to the sky. The girl released it with a flourish laughing as it sailed into the sky and burst into a thousand pieces, forming a thousand stars. The girl turned and smiled at north when she heard the sound of loud applause.

"that vas incredible evelyn." the russian exclaimed causing the teenager to blush.

"you flatter me North. Besides, I dont see how a few stars will stop pitch." she said somberly gently ruffling her silver tipped wings. North sighed bending down and lifting the girls chin so he could look into her silver eyes.

"you. Are. Powerful. And, vith the guardians help, i am sure pitch will be stopped. Hm?" the russian said ruffling her hair as the girl smiled.

"Evelyn look out!" Tooth screamed as a shadowy horse collided into the dark haired angel. North flinched as he heard the girls scream as pitch pulled her into his grasp. Suddenly the child was silent. Pitch laughed turning to the guardians.

"you can't even protect one little angel. What makes you think you can protect the entire world's children?" he sneered

Jack laughed as he flew down one of the hallways in North's workshop. He knew he would be found eventually but Bunny's face when he froze his fur was priceless. Looking around Jack froze. He had never been to this part of the workshop before. Curiously he walked down the hallway until a dark blue door with silver calligraphy on it caught his eye. Approaching it he was confused. The door was covered in dust, making it almost impossible to read the name. Reaching his arm up to wipe away the dust he froze when he heard a familiar Russian voice.

"Jack? Vhat do you think you are doing?" North boomed crossing his arms. Jack lowered his head in defeat before looking up at his father figure.

"um… Opening the door?" he said trying to look innocent. North sighed.

"Jack, that room is off limits. Okay? I am not angry but please stay away from it. It is dangerous." Jack frowned wondering what on earth could be behind the door but nodded and flew away to go freeze more elves. North sighed and placed his hand on the door tracing the name. Evelyn. Squeezing his eyes tightly he took a shaky breath.

"Ve miss you Ev. More than you could possibly know. I hope the afterlife is treating you vell." he murmured softly
