Rowanblossom: a life to forget
Nobody knew where I came from. They wouldn't want to know the horrors I went through. They made me go through for their pleasures. Now its gone. I'm free and they wont ever find me.
"Rowanblossom! Want to go hunting?" called Lightningpelt. "sure," I sigh. Every day the toms asked. I always said no because my heart lies with Thrushheart. He doesn't know, or notice me. I talk to him but he always has a excuse to leave. I follow Lightningpelt outside. He stops and asks me something I never knew a tom would ask me. "Do you want to know why Thrushheart wont talk to you?" I nod slowly, eyes widened. "Ask him." Than carries on like nothing happened. I follow him and we carry our prey back by sunhigh. I see Thrushheart talking to Leafwhisker. I could hear her purr as he whispered something into her ear. Now I knew why he ignores me. He's in love with Leafwhisker. My foster littermate. I walk over to Dawnflower, one of my best friends. I plop down next to her, gazing at Thrushheart. Why? Why didn't you just say so? I screamed in my head. "What's the matter?" I look up to see Robinflight. "Thrushheart likes Leafwhisker." Both of my friends share a look of surprise. "But she already has a mate, Sparrowleap. I should know since he is my brother." Robinflight growled while marching up to the two cats. "Leafwhisker, where's Sparrowleap?" she asked innocently. "Out hunting." She answered looking confused. "Move, mouse- brain." Robinflight growled at Thrushheart, pushing him out of his spot. "Why are you cheating on my brother with him?" Robinflight snarled leaning in. Leafwhisker shrank away, "I'm not! We're just good friends!" meanwhile, Thrushheart came over and sat beside Dawnflower, ignoring me. "Thrushheart, why do you ignore me?" he flicked his ear and replied. "I don't. well yes I guess I do, but its just-"
"what? You love my sister, make her cheat on the greatest warrior in the clan, she dumps you, you get all mad want revenge, and than you'll run away swearing revenge on ThunderClan?" I asked, my voice getting louder with each word. he flinched, and I knew. Leafwhisker did it to get Thrushheart jealous. "you don't deserve to be in a clan, you dirty liar!" I spat at him, whacking him in the face with my tail while walking away. Sparrowleap walked into camp, and me and Robinflight ran over to him. "Leafwhisker left you." Sparrowleap just stood there motionless. Than, he exploded. "What?" he roared, running up to her. "You load of fox-dung!" I walked over to him. "come on" I murmured into his ear. The long furred tabby followed me out of camp. "I'm sorry about Leafwhisker." I whispered. I don't know what surprised me most, him purring 'I love you', or me replying, "I love you too."
