So this is like super super short, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. It's probably the shortest story in all of Star Trek Fan Fiction, but at least I'm setting some sort of record, eh?

Here it is!

Deanna Troi set her chocolate sundae down on a table in Ten Forward. She was tired from work, but having something chocolate would make her feel better. It always did.

"Hello," William Riker called cheerfully, sitting down across from Deanna. "Mad about something?"

She looked up at him and smiled slightly. "I was just eating this," she said.

Will grinned. "Oh, of course. I forgot about your ritual. Shall I leave you be?"

Deanna rolled her eyes. "No, you can stay," she said. "Please don't insult my chocolate."

Will laughed. "Tell him I'm sorry," he said. "Maybe I should get one, too."

"What's wrong?" Deanna asked, savoring another bite.

Will shrugged. "The new transfers from Starfleet Academy don't know anything about controls," he said, "and they don't want to learn, either."

"Well, they're young," Deanna pointed out. "You have to be really patient."

"I have been patient," Will said. "They just want to start blowing up the Enterprise."

Deanna caught his eye and smiled. "Oh. In that case, maybe you better have a bite."

Will laughed. "No, I wouldn't think of disrupting you two."

Deanna rolled her eyes again, laughing. "In that case I order you to go get yourself a whole one."

"You can't give me orders!" Will protested. "I'm First Officer!"

Deanna stood up, grabbed his arm and dragged him to the counter. "I order you to," she repeated. "One chocolate sundae for Will," she told Guinan.

Will shook his head. Catching Deanna's eye, he burst out laughing.
