He saw her across the street.

She was still stunningly beautiful. She sat at the café table with a tiny girl in her lap. Her blue hair was swept over one shoulder, her smile visible.

He casually strolled towards her and sat in the chair in front of her, she didn't seem to notice. He stared at her for a little while before he spoke. "It's been a while Yamraiha." His voice on the urge of trembling, he still felt the pull on his heart whenever he saw her.

She hid her surprise well as she led her azure eyes to look at him. "Sharrkan." Her voice never wavered. "What is so important that you have to see me?"

The girl in her lap started to squirm, but Yamraiha calmly hushed her by rubbing the girl's back.

"Well, Sharrkan?" there was an edge to her tone, "will this be another half-as- terrible attempt to apologize?" he noticed she faltered her harsh words when she glanced at the child. "I'll have you know that it's obvious that you don't care."

Cold arrows stabbed through his heart, "N-no. I do care. I do care." His words didn't sound as certain as he wanted them to, "Pisti told me you would be in town so I thought I could patch things up with you…"

"Really, Sharrkan, I thought you already patched things up when left me the night after." Her eyes were still cold as ice, "Was I really that much of an embarrassment for you? Was I just a bet that you won? Save the talk Sharrkan, I don't need my feelings to be played with again."

The little girl in her lap looked away from her mother to stare her piercing green eyes at him.

That was when he actually studied the girl.

Her skin tone was like his, except that it was slightly lighter, and her hair was the same colour as her mother's, pulled back into two twin tails. Her bright eyes were almost identical to his.

That's when he realized, the hurt that she must have gone through. He left the day after they had done it the first time, because he thought that she would dislike the fact that they did it before marriage, that he would have to take responsibility. He was scared. But he realized that he was an asshole for doing so.

Tears sparked his eyes as he hastily got up from his chair, "I'm sorry, sorry for calling you out, Yamraiha, I guess I should go."

He walked away from her and her child, sobs wracking his body as he thought about her pain, going through everything all alone.

Then he stopped, someone was tugging at his jeans. He looked down to see innocent green eyes stare up at him.

"You're my daddy, right?" a smile split her face, "I heard a lot about you from mommy, she cries at home about you sometimes."

He looked behind him to see her covering her mouth as tears streamed down her face.

"Mommy told me that you would come back one day! I've always wanted to see you!" she took his hand in hers and led him to her mother. Then she latched his hand with her mother's. She beamed a toothy grin at them, "Now we can be a happy family, right?"

"Does that mean you'll forgive me?" Sharrkan held her eyes with his gaze.

"I can try." She managed through sobs as he embraced her.

"Thank you."
