Ok so this is just a sad story I came up with. Normally I don't do very many Main Character deaths but this is pretty good.
Warning: if you're a Sora Lover and/or hate character death, you might not want to read this. You've been warned
Riku, Kairi, The king, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were all siting in the gummi-ship. Sora was sitting beside Kairi, "Kairi. I have to tell you this, if this turns out to be the end. I love you." Kairi turned to Sora, he was close to her, no more than an inch away from her face. "You do…?"
"Yeah…" Suddenly she went the rest of the way, there lips touched and they kissed, innocently however. It was a first kiss.
"Well, about time." Riku said slightly looking over his shoulder.
There was a bang…
"Engine down!" Ventus called fearfully grabbing the throttle.
They had to escape from the gummi-ship now, it was now going down. It have been shot by that assassin…that assassin had been paid to kill Sora by Xehanort.
There was an escape pod on the other side of the gummi ship that they all ran to at once, they didn't even neeed a warning.
"Sora!" Kairi called, "You have to hurry, get into the escape pod…!"
Everyone except for Sora had made it in there so far.
"…Kairi, you have to tell everyone…what I did here today. Trust in Ventus, all of you. He'll guide you to victory…"
"NO you will now come on, you'll tell them…don't do what your thinking!" Riku called, but suddenly Sora slammed a button down…
The door closed before they could blink. Sora walked over, "My friends…allow me to do this. We have been threw a lot, but I cannot allow you to die or suffer, or both, any longer. It's time we get the assassin off the trail. Goodbye."
"NO!" they all called but it was too late, Sora had walked over and had now pulled the lever down for the escape pod to leave. Sora said as he heard the small cries of his companions calling as they entered the atmosphere of the unkown world below.
"I'm Sorry." He said before he pulled the lever up so the airlock door to the escape pod closed.
Sora turned back, the assassin was still following him and he was going down fast, "Alright. I'm going to have to bring this puppy down. Even if I have to crash land it."
Sora sighed, "Alright Sora, it's time to get this assassin to stop following your friends. You have to sacrifice yourself. But who knows death might not be so bad…especially if Kairi is safe."
Sora suddenly grabbed the throttle and pushed it down, aiming himself towards the world below. He went down with a flash. Everything happened fast.
When Sora died he heard a voice and a golden light shined upon him, "Sora…it wasn't your time. You were not meant to die yet." The heavenly voice said.
"What?"
"You were not meant to die. You were meant to live with your friends. Not die in a crash. However, your selflessness is well spent. The assassin has left. Your friends are alive. So overall you have done well son."
Sora felt something lift him up and the heavenly voice spoke again, "I have thought about your sacrifice, and I have decided to give you a chance to say goodbye to your friends. Now go…" Sora felt a rush and he looked around, He was standing there gasps filling his ears, his friends stood there before him, eyes widened with shock and fear, "Sora?" Sora was ghost like glowing blue, transparent, and paranormal.
"Yes…my friends. I have come to say goodbye before I leave. Kairi…" The ghostly Sora turned to his lover, "I will be waiting for you…but I want you to live your life without me. Don't die purposely just because I have. Live and fight, as long as you can…Riku…" Sora turned to his life long best friend, " Take care of her." Riku nodded smiling, " I will."
Sora turned and a golden light greeted him as a golden escalade appeared, "Come home."
