The three stared at the table confused by what their current keeper was asking; one tall and skinny with well manicured hair and glasses, his samurai swords resting on his hip, a short younger girl with 2 red beads in her hair and a pink kimono, and a rugged taller man with tanned skin and wild eyes.
"You want us to what?" Fu asked rather loudly. "You can't be serious."
Jin looked at the ingredients and then back to the man. "I was not aware this would be part of the agreement."
Mugen looked at his comrades. "How hard could it be?"
"That's the spirit," the little man, who was giving them room and board for the night, squealed as the crazier looking of the three seemed to agree to his proposition.
With that he left the room, leaving the three alone in the kitchen.
"You know how to make mango curry?" Fu asked, skeptical.
Mugen picked up a mango and examined it.
"Do you even know what a mango is?" Jin asked his eyebrow raised.
"Not a clue." Mugen said as he drew his sword.
Jin sighed and Fu began to wave her arms in the air. "What do you think you are doing?" She yelled but it was too late.
Mugen's sword fell erratic yet deadly onto the unsuspecting fruit. He lifted his sword, confused as the fruit did not cut in half but got stuck on his sword.
"What the hell is this?" he yelled as he began to swing his sword violently to shake off the odd fruit.
Jin grabbed Mugen's sword via the fruit. "You are making a fool of yourself."
Fu uncovered her eyes to see the room not destroyed. Her luck was looking up today. She watched in careful observation as Jin cleaned the weird fruit.
Soon the three of them had gotten the ingredients into a pot and placed it over the fire. Mugen was covered in ingredients, Fu had he sleeves rolled up and sat closely watching the pot. Jin was clean but had a rather annoyed expression on his face.
The three sat there for about an hour before their keeper came back in. "Excellent!" he yelled as he pulled a box in. He began to pour the contents of the pot into what looked like cannon balls.
"What are you doing?" Fu asked.
"I'm making bombs," he replied as he dropped a little baggy of gun powder into the center compartment of the balls.
The three watched in horror as the food they had prepared was going away into cannon balls, to be exploded at....
"Wait why are you making curry filled explosives and who are you going to shoot them at?" Fu asked. Mugen nodded; he too was curious.
"You see, we have been at war with another gang in this area. I figured nothing would be more confusing then to have an explosion that covers you in a curry containing a fruit that no one has ever heard of," he replied, apparently having actually thought this out very carefully.
He poured them each a bowl and the three ravaged it. Thanking him for his kindness, they took to their mats for sleep.
Mugen poked Jin, "Hey, do you think those bombs will work?"
Jin sighed. "I do not know. Why, are you planning on stealing some?" h asked, already knowing the answer.
"Hell yes I am." Mugen responded and then immediately began to snore.
