1A Night at The Library
The night air was chill. It's power- strong enough to blow a cinder block over. The Military's first branch of the library was dark except for one light.
The light was dim but it lit up an entire room. The library was quiet as the dark of night.
" I'm never going to finish all these books tonight." the very tired Sheska exclaimed.
She rubbed her bloodshot eyes and sighed. Her mission was impossible.
" How does Hues expect me to do this all in one night?" Sheska rested her head down on a book and recalled the day...
" Good morning Sheska!"
" Good morning Lt. Hues." Sheska stood up and saluter then stood at attention.
Maes put his hand up to protest her actions.
" Now Sheska, you don't have to call me Lt." Hues said," Just call me Maes." Sheska nodded and smiled
" What can I do for you today Maes?" She said with uncertainty.
"Well..." Maes looked at the floor." Could you read a couple of books that Mustang thinks are unnecessary."
"Why?" Sheska questioned.
"Well he doesn't think they are important to the library and so he's having them burned tomorrow."
Sheska gasped. How could Mustang do something like that?
"Sure Maes, for the books!"
"Thanks so much" Maes quickly walked out of the room and came back with what looked like 5, 800 paged novels. Following him came 6 more subordinates carrying the same amount.
Sheska's mouth dropped to the floor..
"I really do appreciate this. I know one day in the future, we will need this information and we will be glad we accomplished this." Maes smiled and waved. "Thank you. See you tomorrow!"
And he Walked out the door, and his subordinates followed suit.
Sheska stood behind the desk wide- eyed.
Hours later, Sheska was still wide eyed. She soon found out how important those books were. They were a bunch of children's stories. No wonder the colonel was having the books burned. Sheska sat back up and began to read again.
After an hour, Sheska heard the door open, it banged the wall with force. Sheska jumped up and hid behind a book case out of sight. After all, the military killer, scar was still on the loose. But the noises that were made after the door hit the wall sounded more like two people. Heavy breathing seized the room as a feeling of passion swept through every nook and crany.
Could this be what I think this is? Sheska thought.
Sheska then heard a name she would never think to hear in this sort of relationship.
" Roy." the women said with a type of exhilaration.
Sheska's eyes widened. This could not possibly be Colonel Roy Mustang! There had to be someone else named Roy. She could not think of any. Then the women's voice hit sheska hard in the head... It was Riza Hawkeye!!! sheska's brain was swimming with thoughts and everything else! This could not happen, maybe, the colonel seduced Riza and she was forced into this situation. Or those rumors were true. They were dating!
So for that long 20 minutes of love, Sheska sat behind the book case and waited for the two to leave. After, Sheska began to read again, unknowing what is to come.
