Welcome!

So, it's almost four in the morning here and I have to be up in a few hours. All I'm going to say is 'I hope you enjoy the prologue!'

Disclaimer: The only thing I own is Margaret Muldoon (whose face claim is Keira Knightley). Everything else belongs to the rightful owners.

Staring out the swinging back doors of the MVU-12 at Echo and Delta, who were quickly closing the distance between the two of them and the vehicle, Margaret couldn't help but think of something that Alan Grant had told her years ago.

"When I met your father, the first words I ever heard come out of the man's mouth was 'They should all be destroyed.' Of course, Hammond brushed it off as him being 'a bit of an alarmist.' Sometimes I can't help but think that Robert was the smartest human on that whole damn island."

Zach, Claire Dearing's oldest nephew, pulled a canister from the wall and rolled it out the doors. As it bounced off of the ground and began to release pressurized gas, Delta narrowly managed to avoid it, continuing her pursuit. Echo veered off to the side, moving to run alongside Claire. Judging by the slight swerve and how the truck jarred, Margaret guessed that the redhead had managed to put the raptor out of commission. However, there was still another dinosaur to deal with.

Gray Mitchell grabbed one of the electric prods from behind them. As he and his brother struggled to turn it on, the woman sitting next to them noticed the velociraptor's acceleration. Reaching over, she turned the prod on just as the creature leapt towards the three of them. The electricity crackled to life and the brothers hastily jabbed the scrambling Delta in the chest with it. Jaws snapping, the stunned dinosaur fell out of the truck and rolled as they got farther and farther away. While Zach held an arm out in front of his sibling to keep him from falling as well, Margaret placed a hand on the teenager's shoulder to steady him.

"Are you guys okay?" Claire called from the front.

"Hey, did you see that?" Zach shouted to his aunt, astonished and proud, as Gray slid the panel separating the cab from the back open.

"I can't wait to tell Mom!" The younger boy exclaimed.

Margaret, despite the severity of the situation, couldn't help but let out an abrupt laugh at the kid's excitement.

"Oh, please, no! Do not tell your mother about that. Ever." The park's operations manager begged.

The roar of a motorcycle engine caught their attention, causing the medical compartment's occupants to look back at the road. Owen Grady, in all of his glory, was speeding towards them.

As the boys called out to him, waving their arms at the man, Margaret let out a sigh of relief.

Robert Muldoon had believed that velociraptors were too dangerous for the modern world. While he had been absolutely right, Margaret knew if she lived through this… she wouldn't be able to agree whole-heartedly that the world would've been better off if they had never been created once again. If it wasn't for those astute carnivores, the late game warden's daughter might never have met their trainer… their Alpha… the love of her life.
