Young Hinamori skipped happily across a large grassfield. A big smile was plastered on her blooming, chubby face. She had just brought Kira some cookies she made. They were undelightful and burnt but Kira didn't seem to mind. Suddenly, Hinamori spotted a white haired boy on the way. Her eyes brightened and she held out her outstretched arms.

"Shirou-channnn!" she yelled in a singsong voice and tried to hug him. But sadly, all she hugged was thin air. Hitsugaya snorted and gave Hinamori a disapproving look.

"Aw, Shirou-chan! You're such a meanie!" Hinamori pouted.

"Don't 'Aw, Shirou-chan' me!" Hitsugaya muttered.

Hinamori was going to start pouting again but she didn't. Instead she sat beside Hitsugaya and stretched her arms. The two friends layed in silence for a short while, then Hinamori spoke up.

"Shirou-chan, do you believe in shooting stars?" she asked.

"No, that's babyish and ridiculous," he smiled.

Hinamori was going to say something back to plead her friend into believing but she didn't. Suddenly, a bright light wizzed past the sky.

"A SHOOTING STAR! A SHOOTING STAR! MAKE A WISH SHIROU-CHAN!" Hinamori squealed.

After a few minutes of silence, Hinamori glanced at Hitsugaya shyly.

"Shirou-chan, did you make a wish?" she asked.

"None of your business, bed wetter Momo," he smiled but his cheeks were kind of flushed.

"Shirou-chan! Don't be mean!" Hinamori pouted and pulled his cheeks.

"Oi! Hinamori! Oi!" the young boy shouted and tried to pull the girl off him.

"I'll tell you what I wished for," he whispered, quiet enough for only her to hear.

Hinamori squealed and let go of the boy who gave a sigh of relief.

"But you said you didn't believe in shooting stars," Hinamori smiled.

"Well I lied," Hitsugaya muttered plainly.

"Do you really want to know?" he asked teasingly.

"Oh yes! More than ever!" Hinamori giggled.

Hitusgaya cleared his throat and smiled his best "I'm-weak-I'm-cute-and- I-have-big-eyes-please-don't-hear-me" smile. He knew that girls were a little feisty about… but he shook that away and turned to Hinamori.

"I-I wished for courage," he barely whispered.

Hinamori raised an eyebrow, "To do what, Shirou-chan?"

"To do this bed wetter Momo,"

Then he pressed his lips on hers. There was a slight buzzing sound in Hinamori's ears then suddenly everything went blank. Hinamori remembered when her mommy and daddy did that. Mommy's face would be warm and glowing. Papa's face would be kind and loving. Then he would hold her and press his lips on hers. Mother would be so happy and father would gently stroke her hair. Hinamori would always hide in the cupboards and watch her parents through a slit. The 2 children pulled away from eachother. Hitsugaya's cheeks were redder than a tomatoe and Hinamori's eyes were glued to the ground. A moment of silence took over.

Suddenly Hitsugaya began shouting, "Hey! Don't get any wrong ideas, Momo! I don't like you and I never will!"

Hinamori giggled and ruffled the white-haired boy's hair.

"Oh well, that's too bad. But even if you don't love me, I still love you, Shirou-chan!"

Hinamori leaned her head on Hitsugaya's shoulder . This time he didn't pull away, but he took in her scent instead.

"I'll love you forever and ever and ever and ever and ever…." She sighed.

Then it was his turn to blush. Hinamori looked at the boy and pulled his cheeks once more.

"AW! SHIROU-CHAN! YOU'RE SO KAWAII!" Hinamori gushed.
