Angeal simply standing there is awkward enough. The man is always doing something - lecturing Zack, sparring with the enemy, scouting the area - so him just…standing there unnerves Zack to no end.
"Angeal?"
Angeal's trance in front of Zack, full of a thoughtful stare at the teenager, trembles somewhat with the angelic mentioning of his name, but his eyes upon Zack's remain firm; nobody is really able to break Angeal's focus, are they?
Except for Zack.
Angeal's voice comes in one quick breath.
"Didithurtwhenyoufellfromheaven?"
"…What?" Angeal's sudden word-throw startles Zack. Zack blinks those gleaming, blue eyes, smirks, and repeats: "What was that, 'Geal?"
Angeal is the one to break his own trance. He frowns, tearing his eyes from the smaller Second's, much to Zack's displeasure, whose smirk begins to drag down his cheekbone. Angeal turns from Zack, beginning to walk back towards to elevators, hiding his blush, and the way he's biting his lip to stifle that tongue.
"Embrace your dreams, Zack," Angeal says simply, more than somewhat hypocritically.
"You got it," Zack pleasantly retorts.
Author's Note: I wrote this distractedly halfway through my biology homework.
Inspired by Sephy and mine's Crisis Core-filled comment conversations.
The title is the line that Angeal says, just so that those who didn't pick it up…would. It's corny-cute, besides. Gotta love the corn.
