Chapter 1

Lupakitten: Well, here it is, the first chapter of WindWolf. Cloud is Kouga and Kagura's 50 year old son, ready to strike it out on his own. Kitten (Lupakitten) is me of course, and Jean is my loving but hot tempered husband. Flower is our infant daughter.

Another startled yelp came as Cloud made another mad dash at the enterance to the den. Weighed down as he was by the heavy pack on his back, he could never make it past his father. "Dad! I'm not a kid anymore! It's time for me to have my own life, not the one you want for me. You traveled when you were my age." Kouga Sighed as he tried to explain one more time. "By pack laws, you are still a cub until your 55th birthday. If you leave now, you will never be allowed to come back." Cloud tried for the cave enterance again. "You got back in, didn't you?" Kouga grabbed his son by the scruff of the neck. "I had to fight my way back in. I don't want that for you." "It's not your choice, is it? Dad, my spirit says it's time to go. I can't stay here any longer." Knowing how it was for your spirit to say to go, Kouga let him go. "Just be careful, come back to me and your mother."
