Skyhold was teeming with parents and kids each exchanging presents with one another. Devine Leliana and her right hand Cassandra sat at a table in the great hall with the bulls chargers, Solas, Cole, Dorian, Blackwall, alongside Viviane and Sera while Varric Raised his mug high in the air and cheered. Josephine sat with her sister on the other side of the room opening a gift that seemed to be something extravagant or scary seeing as she fainted after opening it. Everyone was happy and celebrating but there were two people missing from the festivities.
Above the Great hall two people sat on a big bed looking down at a small bundle of a child whose hair was red like her mothers and slightly curled while her eyes were the same color as her fathers. The dad smiled down at the small child as she opened her gift to reveal a necklace similar to her mothers. The necklace was the dalish symbol as well as a beautiful heart cut gem. In the corner sat a staff that had the exact same stone similar to the one on the child's necklace. The little girl giggled in delight as her mother clasped the necklace together. The child looked up at both her parents and smiled, her parents looked up at each other smiling and leaned towards each other kissing each other lightly on the lips.
"Merry Saturnalia my mighty brave lion."
"Merry Saturnalia to you too, my wild beautiful Hart."
Down in the great hall everyone was looking up at the ceiling smiling as the listened to the giggles of the child of Inquisitor Ellana Lavellan and Commander Rutherford Cullen. It truly was a very merry Saturnalia among the inquisition and her friends and allies and they all knew it would get better no matter what.
