I N C E P T I O N
Prologue:
"Madame President, as I am sure you already know I have come to discuss a topic of interest."
"With all due respect Mr.-"
"Mr. Bahran Chah."
"With all due respect Mr. Bahran Chah, this visit is quite a surprise, seeing as I have not received any personal information or file about you. " The president ran her fingers along the rough edge of her oakwood desk. Something was strange, there was something suspicious about this man, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Where did you say you were from again?"
"I didn't. I am from the Islamic Transitional State of Afghanistan."
She sighed, staring at the blank walls and then at the man sitting in front of her. She recalled her meeting with Hamid Karzai a year ago, she remembered the distinctive sash he wore around his shoulders... he and his representatives all wore the same brightly colored sash, so where was his? Her hands slowly inched towards the security alarm button hidden beneath her desk.
"So I see you don't exactly like dressing traditionally." She said, putting the pieces together. The man smiled and let out a dark laugh.
"There is no point in pushing that button Ms. McAllister."
The president widened her eyes, her gaze still set upon the red button beneath her fingers. "Who are you?" She questioned, suddenly trembling, fear surging through her body like electricity. "What are you doing here?" She looked up at him, trying her best to maintain a calm expression.
"Allow me to introduce myself." He said, a devilish grin on his lips. "I am Rahim Kahn. Current leader and supporter of the Abu Nidal Organization." Extremist group. "My troops are surrounding the White House right now."
The President exhaled deeply before once again making eye contact with Mr. Kahn. "I hope you know that help will be arriving shortly." The man let out a low chuckle and pulled out a gun.
"Why are you in such a rush? You wont be leaving anytime soon Caroline."
"Where did you get that? Where did you get that gun?"The President questioned, a sense familiarity washing over her. It was a peculiar looking gun.
"One of your guards- he's dead."Mr. Khan replied in a very straight-forward manner. He gave a small chuckle and pointed the gun at the president's head. "Any last words Ms. McAllis-"
President McAllister squeezed her eyes shut at the sound of a gunshot, silently waiting for the numbness to come. But nothing. Seconds or minutes passed by, she couldn't tell, before she opened her eyes again. And there lying dead on her desk was none other than Mr. Kahn. Bewildered she looked up her eyes meeting those of a young, scared-looking Iraqi soldier...realizing that this man just saved her life, she was about to say thank you when she heard gun shots roar again, followed by various shouts of protest. She considered how it must look, a gun pointed in her direction and yelled at the top of her lungs "No! He saved me!" but it was already too late.
"President McAllister are you alright?" Allegra Verona- the Vice President- cried as she entered the room. Followed by at least a dozen soldiers. "Ah yes I-I'm fine." The president replied, trying to act nonchalant. "Call everyone...important and tell them to meet us in the conference hall. We have serious matters to discuss."
***the ACTUAL INCEPTION characters will be in the next chapter, just wait! And sorry if we offended anyone, everything was used for fictional purposes only. We are by no means saying that Iraqi people are terrorists, we are only 14, we are NOT trying to make a political statement! :) Hope you liked it.
