The Story of Yuki Ketchum

11 years after Ash left Kalos, he now lives in Kalos and became one of Prof. Sycamore's Assistant. (Also, Serena is now his wife.) The two of them finally desired to have their own child only to find out it's impossible. Soon after, Arceus asks for their help that benefited them as well: raising a child-like Pokemon. Saying yes, Yuki Ketchum hatched! This story is about her life!

1. Introduction

Editors Note 1: This Chapter takes place 14 years after Ash finishes his Kalos Journey. Despite this being based on many Anime Events and Pokemon Lore, a lot of it was altered from the originals. As Each Chapter Finishes, I will add any needed notes to clarify some changes from the original Pokemon Lore. Please enjoy the story!

Editors Note 2: This chapter is written in play format, but the story itself will be mainly written from a single characters point of view.

Prof. Sycamore: Welcome to the world of Pokemon! This is a place filled with many mysterious creatures... and endless amount of them! My name is Prof. Sycamore and these are my two assistants, Ash Ketchum and Alain.

Ash: Hey!

Alain: Hello.

Prof. Sycamore: There are many kinds of people in this world. Pokemon Trainers, Performers, and Coordinators just to name a few. We are professors, people who study Pokemon. Our general goal is to understand them better. I research "The Bonds Between People and Pokemon." Just about 14 years ago, I only researched "Mega Evolution." After meeting ten year old Ash and his special Greninja, I asked myself many questions about Mega Evolution I never questioned before. While most people need a Key Stone and a Mega Stone, Ash was able to do it though his growing bond.

Ash: Sometime after I left Kalos, he started researching exactly how much can bonds affect Mega Evolution.

Alain: The more Prof. Sycamore learned about bonds, the more questions he had. This eventually lead to his research changing focus from Mega Evolution to Bonds. Both are connected, but the bonds we share with Pokemon seemed to have many more unsolved mysteries...

Prof. Sycamore: Ash is an extremely good example of how the bond between people and Pokemon affect their growth. From a Greninja that could mega evolve and look extremely like his trainer to a Lycanroc that had a special dusk form... the possibilities were endless!

Ash: Using that experience, I help Prof. Sycamore get closer to his goal. Besides, I want to learn more about Pokemon and befriend many as well! It's a win-win!

Alain: Don't forget the most mysterious Pokemon of them all...

? (looking into the room where this is taking place): Daddy, are you almost done making your video explaining the world? Me and Ninja want to go play outside!

Prof. Sycamore: Speaking of which... Yuki, come over here!

Yuki: Ummmmmmm, are you sure? I don't want to mess daddy's video up...

Ash: Don't worry, it's completely ok! Come over and let Daddy pick you up.

Yuki: Yay! (runs over to Ash and is picked up by him) Hi, Daddy!

Ash: (Smiles) Hey, Yuki! Can you say "Hi" to the camera for me?

Yuki: ...Camera? (looks at camera - facing you with a smile) Hi Mr. Camera!

Prof. Sycamore: This is a mysterious child that was given to Ash by Arceus himself!

Yuki: That's me! My name is Yuki Ketchum! It's nice to meet you, Mr. Camera!

Prof. Sycamore: Being born from a Pokemon Egg that contained the DNA of Arceus, Ash, and her mother...

Yuki: Mommy Sena?

Ash: Serena, Yuki. It's Serena.

Yuki: (sounding a bit annoyed) I said that! I said Mommy Sena!

Prof. Sycamore: (laughs for a second) She is the incarnation of Good and a child that will bring us hope.

Yuki: (Looks at Prof. Sycamore confused) ...Hope? Where can I find Hope? Please... tell me where I can find it Mr. Sickimore! I want to help!

(Prof. Syamore, Alain, and Ash all laugh.)

Yuki: (looks at each of them, confused and worried at the same time) Is something funny? Did I do something wrong?!

Ash: (looks at her and smiles) Don't worry about it. I know that when your older, you'll find the "Hope" we're looking for. For now, enjoy being a 3 year old.

Yuki: (Smiles) Ooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Ash: Your adventure... (shakes head) I mean your story is about to unfold. Make sure to do your best and live life to the fullest!

Yuki: (Huge smile) Ok, Daddy! (Looks at Ninja who is standing in the hallway) Let's go play outside! Can you help me master the move Protect?

Ninja: Frokie!

Ash: (Looking at Yuki's Froakie with a disappointed face) ...you know all of us can understand you. You don't need to pretend that this is what we hear from you.

Ninja: (shakes her head, hesitating to speak) ...kie.

Yuki: (Looks at her Froakie, feeling confused herself.) Ninja, I don't understand. Will you help me?

Ninja: (smiles) I'll help! Lets Gooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

(Yuki Runs out of the room and Ninja hops on her shoulder. Together they go outside; running towards the bright sunrise.)

Narrarator: This is a story full of Pokemon, friends, hardships and challenges, overcoming those hardships, and much more... as we follow the story of the Half Human/Half Pokemon child who is also Arceus's daughter: Yuki Ketchum.

I hoped you enjoyed the Pre-Story Chapter! This entire story is based off my personal Pokemon fan world... and contains a lot of important feelings for me. Next chapter... THE JOURNEY BEGINS!
