Written for a 100 Theme Challenge on deviantART. Takes place after Green fights Vio in the manga, I own nothing.
"GREEN!"
The cry came from Red as Green fell, seemingly dead, killed by Vio's sword. As Green's body hit the ground, Red ran forward, falling to his knees as he reached the fallen hero. "Green, please don't be dead!"
"Red, wait!" Blue yelled, running after him. He arrived at Green's body soon after Red, bending over to pick up Green. Red's eyes, filling with tears, followed the green hero as Blue picked him up and held his limp body in his two arms. He then prodded Red gently with his foot. "Come on, Red, we've got to get out of here."
Wiping his eyes with his right sleeve, Red sniffed and nodded as he slowly stood up.
"Come on." The two heroes turned around, ready to leave the dark scene and find a safe place to check on Green.
"I thought you wanted a fight."
Blue and Red jumped, Vio suddenly appearing before them as they turned.
Where did the bookworm get this fast? Blue thought, glaring at the former hero. He's never shown as much skill as he has today before he joined Shadow..
"Vio, what are you doing?" Shadow demanded. "We only need to kill one of them, there's no point in fighting them anymore. They've lost!"
"That's true," Vio agreed. "Blue wants a fight, though, and even if I'm not on their side anymore, I'm sick of his attitude. I'm up for a second round."
Blue's eyes narrowed, his teeth grinding together, as he carefully handed Green over to Red, making sure Green was okay. "Sick of my attitude, huh? You got a problem with me?"
"Actually, I do." A smirk formed on Vio's face as he saw his plan to get Blue angry, his plan to make Blue have to participate in this fight, seemed to be working. "You're stubborn and uncompromising. You're always getting into fights with everyone, and always disagree with our actions, no matter the situation. You're the one that caused us to be separated, and your temper has done us more harm than good. Since I switched sides, it just gives me more opportunity for revenge."
"Are you challenging me, bookworm?!" Blue demanded through gritted teeth. He unsheathed his sword and held it out in front of him, taking a step towards Vio.
"Blue, no! What about Green?" Red asked. Blue and Vio were too engaged in their fight to give any response.
"Quiet, you." Shadow crossed his arms and glared at Red. "There's absolutely nothing wrong with a good fight, even if it's against Lord Vaati's orders. Besides, your friend's dead. There's no point in checking on him."
"I thought you were the one who challenged me during Green and I's fight," Vio corrected Blue as if Red and Shadow never spoke, calmly unsheathing his own sword. He quickly ran back to the battlefield from the fight that had just finished, and Blue turned around and took a few steps forward to face him.
"You're asking for it, pal!" Blue shouted. Holding his sword in his left hand, Blue bent his left arm back a little and charged at Vio. Picking up speed as he continued running, the muscles in his left arm tensed up, waiting to strike. Vio calmly just watched, the smirk on his face growing wider, only increasing Blue's anger. Just before running into Vio, he stopped and thrust his sword at Vio, aiming towards his stomach.
Vio, however, had easily calculated Blue's move, and jumped into the air before Blue could hit him. He did a small flip and landed on the blade of Blue's sword, his knees slightly bent and his hand grabbing Blue's shoulder for support. Blue's eyes widened in shock as Vio shifted his weight slightly towards the blue hero, his face right next to Blue's ear. "Let's dance," Vio whispered as he jumped off of Blue's sword and held his sword up in the air, preparing to take the offensive.
