Song of Amaranta

There from before

Doomed to follow behind

Newcomer enters

Loved by my kind

I wanted a future

She carried her past

Longing for love

As I came in last

Her beauty, her gain

She was second to none

My sorrow, my pain

For he only loved one

Desperately searching

Last-ditch revenge

My hope of beginning

Was another's end

Shadowed my thoughts

Hide through the years

The unwanted darkness

Must cover my fears

Secretly dying

For another chance

But all hope is swallowed

In destiny's dance

A second turn given

To me at last

But I can't accept it

A self-made outcast

I want to be close

Why do I pull away

Embracing my night

For my soul has no day

Destroy to stay safe

Weave my own shroud

Whatever I've missed

I have always been…

Proud.
