A/N: This is a poem related to a new Tekken fic I'll be making after "Catch Me, I'm Falling For You", called "King's Cherubim". King remembers when his step daughter, Bambi, first came into his life. My apologies for it being a bit long. I hope you'll still like it :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Tekken or King II. He belongs to Namco. I also don't own the song "Just Wanna Be With You", which is from High School Musical 3. I only own Bambi Langit and this poem.
King's Little Guardian Angel
He watched her
Happy as can be
His eyes beheld
The most beautiful child
He had ever seen
Long brown hair, pale skin
Bangs over one eye
And baseball cap
Turned to the side
He watched her
As she played her guitar
And sang with a voice
So sweet and lovely
Like his angel that she was meant to be
She sang "Just Wanna Be With You"
For all his foster children to see
A truly special song to them both
And he thought to himself
How long has it been?
Since he'd first seen
Her angelic beauty within
He recalls that cold winter night
When he and the children
Shared a warm turkey
Dinner by the fire
Come a hurried knock
On the door
One of the kids call his name
Worry consuming his every word.
He goes over to see who could that be?
There stood a little girl
Of age the age of five
She held her best friend
So small and frail
sick from the cold
"Please, sir" the little girl pleads, "Take my best friend.
She's sick and needs a place to stay."
He takesher into his arms
And she collapses before she whispers,
"Please help me…"
The following nights
Are filled with joy and laughter
As the little girl regains her strength
And starts feeling better
He goes to her room
To tuck her in one night
Only to find the door closed and a glorious shinning light
He opens the door a bit
To see, what could that be?
And behold!
She glowed in a golden
Light of purity
With wings and a halo, As beautiful as an angel could be
She's down on her knees,
Praying "Let me be his Guardian Angel forever."
Now, nine years later,
After hard times that have come and gone,
She is still the happy-go-lucky
Angel he knew her to be
Now one of his own,
He prays that they
Will always be together
And smiles as she sings to him,
"I just wanna be with you"
