Prussia x Canada

A cold breeze went past the Canadian nation but he took little notice of it. He watched the lake with a quivering smile and tears in his eyes. He's always forgotten. He didn't really mind all those other times but right now…

"I guess it was a mistake," Canada muttered as he hugged himself.

He let the first tear fall as he tried to forget everything; funny thing about life is… memories stay, especially the ones you want to forget. The sun set and the stars came out and Canada was still there.

He couldn't move; he didn't want to move. There was some small part of him that said he would still come, that he wasn't forgotten. Canada took a shaking breath as his eyes closed and he felt a heavy tiredness come over him.

He began to drift off, he was happy to find his sleep dreamless.

Canada smiled at the warmth around him. He wasn't fully awake yet, but in a calm state of awareness. He suddenly remembered where he had fallen asleep the previous night, and that place would not be warm in the morning… so why is this place warm?

He reached a hand out, his eyes still closed; his hand came to rest on something also warm. It was more of a someone than a something. Canada slowly opened his eyes to see who it was. He couldn't believe this… 'You did come for me…'

"Prussia?" Canada whispered, stroking the other's white bangs off his forehead.

Slowly, Prussia stirred, his eyes opening in a sleepy haze. He looked over Canada before smiling. Canada stared at him in a state of shock and confusion. He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to feel either.

"I'm sorry…" Prussia whispered before embracing Canada.

They lay in the bed for a while, holding each other. Canada began to cry again, he couldn't help it. Prussia comforted him with gentle words and butterfly kisses.

"Shhhh… it's okay," He whispered as Canada calmed.

Canada hiccupped slightly as he tried to stop the tears. He held Prussia tighter as he finally stopped crying. He was more happy then sad but he cried anyway. 'I'm not forgotten… someone wants me!' Canada thought as he sighed.

"I'm sorry… I didn't come earlier… I'm so sorry," Prussia said as Canada turned his head up to Prussia.

"It's okay… I love you," With that Canada pressed his lips to Prussia's.
