Hey! So I know...you guys are probably like, why are you not updating Balance of Toontown? Cause I am working on a chapter RIGHT now. So this little story was for Toontown Alley's story contest. But it wouldn't let me send it in! It has been on my computer for two months so..I was like why not post it on Fanfic. So I am posting it! The theme for the contest how would the conversation of your TTO toon be with your TTR toon.

Awkward Encounters

The wind blew across Toontown Central. A toon was striding across the playground. The name of the toon was Sparkly Rose Lab. She had been fighting cogs later than everyone else. She wanted to finish the task she had gotten which was to fight 140 cogs and her prize was a clothing ticket and jellybeans. But she was out later than she was supposed to.
As she was walking around she saw a shadow. She blinked a couple times. And she stared at the spot where she had seen the shadow.
Then she saw a toon jump out of a bush.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh", she screamed. She almost had a heart attack. Once she had calmed down she looked up and saw a cat. She was pretty short in her opinion.
She was the color of midnight blue and was wearing a jean skirt and a dark purple top.
The cat got up and stared at Spark. It was an awkward silence like it always is. Until Spark heard a voice talking to her. She turned around and found out the cat was talking to her.
"Um. The names Shining Starlight. But you can call me Star or Starlight.", said the cat.
Spark looked at the cat. But instead of introducing herself she asked a question. And it wasn't really a nice question.
"Why did you jump out of the bush like someone crazy?", she asked. Spark thought in her head. Wait. Why did I say that?
Starlight looked taken aback. "W-w-what?", Starlight asked. "You think I'm crazy?"
Spark winced at her choice of words and said,"No. I'm not thinking straight. It is pretty late at night. And I'm tired."

Starlight nodded. Spark then introduced herself,"Well.. My name is Sparkly Rose Lab. But you can call me Rose or Spark. I really don't like being called Sparkly or Lab."
Starlight looked at Spark. She said,"Um. Then nice to meet you."
"But I do have a question for. Don't worry it's a nicer question." ,said Spark.
Starlight looked up at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Um. Since you still haven't answered my earlier question. Why did jump out of the bush?", she asked.
Starlight smiled sheepishly and said," I thought you were my friend Rosie. (my real friend on TTO..) she always get scared easily so I scared you thinking you were her. I guess I was mistaken." She used jazz hands for emphasis and to lighten up the mood.

"Oh.", Spark said. Then she smiled. Then another awkward silence occurred.
"Well. Um I gotta admit this was awkward.", said Starlight.
"Yeah it is isn't it? Anyways. I need to go to the HQ to turn in this task. Bye." , said Spark.

Starlight smiled and waved goodbye. As Spark entered the HQ she turned in the task. Then she asked the HQ officer." Do you have Shining Starlight's number? So I can whisper to her?"
Since the HQ has records of EVERY toon. And by every. I mean even toons 180 years ago.
The HQ officer looked through the files and said," There is no Shining Starlight in Toontown. Well nt in this time period. It says she was born YEARS ago. Like 105 years ago, that's how old she is if she was still alive."
Spark's face paled and said,"So that means that cat.. w-w-was a ghost?."
