It's been a month since the mutiny and a week since Jack found out about William. Jack decided to go to England and tell Bill's family what happened.

When he got to the house he found that Emily, Bill's wife, had passed away and that young William Turner had left on a ship heading for the Caribbean.

Jack found out the ship was called The Lady Sapphire and got on another ship that followed the same path.

Once he got to the port he found out that the ship had never made it. It was attacked by pirates and nobody survived.

Jack found out that the navy from Port Royal had found the ship. He decided to give it a try. What could he lose?

When he got to Port Royal, he didn't know what to do. All he did was hang out in the alleys, out of the navy's view, and listened.

After a week and the thought of giving up, he heard something.

"Come on Turner. If you be staying with me, you gotta keep up with the work."

"Sorry sir."

"It's fine lad. You'll learn in time. Let's go."

Jack saw this and was about to go get the lad. But before he could he noticed something.

This kid had a chance to live a normal, relatively, life. That's all Bill and Emily wanted for him. If Jack took him with, he wouldn't have a chance. Jack could barely keep himself alive, how could he keep a child alive while on the run. He didn't have a place to live or the promise of food everyday.

So Jack decided to be the adult and give the child a life.

He would check up on him if he could. Maybe one day he will be able to meet the kid. He always wanted to. Bill would always talk about him with such pride.

Until then Jack had other things to worry about. He needed to get his ship back. Maybe that would impress the lad.

I hope he doesn't grow up hating pirates. This was Jack's thought as he left Port Royal, the place known for hating pirates and hanging them without a second thought. Hopefully we'll meet young Turner.

Years Later…

"My father was not a pirate." Will said pulling out a sword

Well I guess you can't always have what you hope for. Jack thought before turning to the young Turner. "You can put it away son…"
