Buffy had failed to get Faith's blood for poor, sick Angel. Buffy came back to Angel's sick room, upset. She had broken a nail. Actually, Faith had broken Buffy's nail. That Ho.

"Buffy," Angel croaked plaintively from his sick bed. Well, he didn't really croak. Not yet. His voice was just croaky.

"Sorry. I was going to feed you some fillet of Faith, but Faith didn't want to give up her fillets. Bitch," Buffy said. She plopped herself down on Angel's sick bed. The jostling caused Angel unimaginable pain.

"Buffy," Angel said pitifully while he made puppy dog eyes and a don't let me die face.

"Aww, poor sicky Angel. Poor, wittle, sicky Angel," Buffy cooed at him. But Angel's eyes were not meeting hers.

"Whatchya looking at?" Buffy asked seeing that his eyes were below her chin but above her boobs.

"Hey, hey! My eyes are up here, Mister. My boobs are down there. Quit checking out my neck!" she warned him. But he was still neck checking.

"Just a little sip," he begged. He reached out his hand. He groped the air.

"You're not sipping from me, buster. I let you have a little sip, and you'll be chugging like a frat guy at a kegger," Buffy refused sensibly.

"I'll die," Angel threatened.

"I know. That's why I have my sad face on. See my sad face?" And Buffy did have her sad face on, especially when she looked at her broken nail, all ragged and chipped. She might need an emergency press-on.

"You are the only one who can save me," Angel told her. But the exertion of such a long sentence exhausted him, and he fell back on the bed.

"I tried, Angel. I did my best. I'd have squeezed Faith like an orange. Or a lemon. Or a grapefruit. I'm thirsty," Buffy said.

"Me too," Angel said eyeing her blood filled blood vessels.

"Stop that. This is my blood. It stays inside me," she explained to him helpfully pointing to herself and her blood. "Now I'm going to go get myself a diet Sprite, you want anything?"

Angel opened his mouth, but Buffy cut him off.

"And don't say Slayer blood," Buffy told him because the vending machine didn't have that.

"Fine. I'll take a diet Coke."
