I am starting this new one-shot series. I have some ideas of prompts that I will write, but if there is anything you guys might want to read, just let me know. Or if there is a story you want someone to write, just let me know. I am open to anything really. Thanks. And unfortunately I do not own anything. Wish I did, but I don't.
A conversation between Caskett in the episode "Head Case".
"I don't think that I really need it. But I mean I guess." Beckett says as she looks down at her boobs.
"That isn't what I meant."
"Right."
"Wait, what?" Castle says as he suddenly stops walking in the lobby of Beau Randolph's studio.
"What?" Beckett asks as she too, stops and turns to face him.
"Would you really do that?"
"Do what?"
"A boob job? What else?"
"No."
"But you just said."
"No." She started to say, but he gave her own signature look right back to her. "Okay maybe, I have though about it once or twice."
"Why?"
"Because I am a woman. It's what we do. We all have some part of us that we absolutely hate. Hands are too small, hair too curly, ears are too big, nose to pointy, or boobs to small."
"But, Kate you are beautiful the way you are."
"And no matter how many times we hear that, we don't believe it. But the right shoes, the right makeup, the right clothes, it hides all the flaws we think that we have."
"But flaws are what make us who we are. They make us human." He says still not understanding women.
"You know that, and I know that. But the rest of the world doesn't. And that is okay, because what makes them beautiful to themselves is what makes them beautiful to others."
"What?"
"Basically, if you believe that you are beautiful with all the makeup and all the clothes, then others think that you are beautiful too."
"That is probably the most beautiful thing you have ever said." Castle said as he gazed softly.
"Thanks, not so bad for a cop huh." She jokes as she turns to make her way further into the studio.
"Kate wait." Castle says as he grabs her had slightly.
"What?" She asks softly.
"I meant what I said. Earlier."
"I know." She says as she squeezes his hand a tad.
With a nod of his head and a smile that reached past his eyes, they made their way to question Mr. Randolph.
