Princess of Gondor

A warm summer's breeze blew in through a window of the palace of Gondor. It blew across the face of a young girl, blowing her dark hair across her face. Her mother, Queen Arwen of Gondor came in to find her daughter asleep.

"Elwen! Wake up, you are going to be late for the banquet! The guests are already arriving!" She said in a hurry to the girl. Elwen sat up quickly, her eyes trying to open.

"But mother, Eldarrion kept me up late last night practicing his chess." Elwen moaned as she let her body fall back on the bed. The queen was rushing around her daughter's room getting her things ready for her.

"You must get up, you may complain to your brother and bother him as much as your station will allow." Arwen told her smiling.

"I may?" Elwen asked as she sat back up smiling mischievously with he eyes glowing with excitement.

"If you insist." Her mother replied sighing as she looked in her daughter's wardrobe. Elwen jumped up out of bed and ran over to her wardrobe and grabbed a sapphire blue dress and started to dress in it. Her mother then walked out of the room smiling.

Downstairs at breakfast the torture of her brother, Eldarrion, began.

"Eldarrion, which girl will you be flirting with most today?" She began. This would embarrass him, they were in the company of the daughter of the steward of Rohan, who Eldarrion liked very much.

"Elwen, be quiet" He hissed through his teeth still smiling at everyone else. Elwen simply smiled and went on,

"The Lady Inwe Anwamane is a lovely choice, she's very beautiful."

"Elwen, that's enough," her father King Aragorn told her laughing, "for now." Elwen smiled and looked down,

"Yes father." She said, "May I be excused?" She asked as Faramir, Eowyn, their son, Boromir (the second) and daughter, Farowyn, walked in. Aragorn sighed,

"Yes, you may be excused Elwen." He told her, rising to greet his guests.

As Elwen walked passed Lady Eowyn she curtsied and smiled at her. She liked Lady Eowyn, she had disguised herself as a man and laid her life on the line for her people. When she reached the stables she (A/N literally) bumped into someone she did not expect.
