Disclaimer: I do not in any way or form own Hetalia or the following song. My daydreams may think so, but unfortunately reality begs to differ.

Inspiration: "When the Lights Go On Again" by Vaughn Monroe

Swaying side to side he smiled at his dance partner- blonde hair that from a glance looked stiff and yet felt soft when he touched it, a stern icy cold gaze that sometimes melted into a warm sunny sky, and cheeks that would blush a rosy hue. He saw lips that were a little thin and near constantly in the shape of a frown, but when he kissed them they would lift upwards into a slight smile, and a straight nose so cute he often would press a brief peck to it, much to his partner's dismay. A glance down showed a strong muscular chest covered by a clean-pressed dress shirt, immaculately white in its appearance with a light blue tie. Looking a bit lower revealed black slacks, finely pressed and stark in contrast with his own creased ones with a small tomato sauce stain on one of the pant legs.

Music played on in the background, slow and smooth with a deep voice coming from the old-fashioned phonograph. The two figures danced together, slowly and a bit awkwardly on the taller one's part.

Brown eyes looked up to peer at embarrassed blues and a beaming smile leaned upward to meet its downturned friend's. A startled glance. Blue eyes looked downwards. Lips met and eyes closed and the music finished in the background, forgotten by its listeners.

"When the lights go on again, all over the world."

A/N: By the way, if you couldn't tell the characters involved were Germany and Italy. Well anyways here I am again writing drabbles because my attention span is to short and/or I can't come up with a good enough idea to write a chapter-length story. As for the inspiration for this, well I love this song first off and when I was on the GerIta community on LJ there was a playlist prompt. And suffice to say I'm too much of a perfectionist to only write within the span of one song so I just put the song on repeat and spent way more time writing this than I probably should have. Ah well, hope you enjoyed.
