Naruto glares at the porch across from his. There are no less than thirteen cats lounging on it, in various places and poses. Their owner is nowhere to be found (and that is a shame, because crazy cat guy or not he is a nice thing to look at), and Naruto supposes he's probably inside with the at least ten other cats he knows that his neighbor owns. He's just lifting his coffee cup up to his lips when one rises and stretches, languid and lazy, and then makes its way over to Naruto's own porch. He makes eye contact with the cat warily, hand with the cup of coffee freezing at chin level.

"What are you doing over here," he asks it. "Shoo. This isn't your home. Go back over to the crazy guy's porch."

The cat only approaches him, twining through Naruto's legs, soft fur brushing against his skin, and really it'd be nice except—"Achoo! Achoo! Achoo!"

Allergies. He's crazy allergic to cats; about as crazy allergic as his neighbor is cat crazy. The cat ignores it, still moving against him. He's still sneezing when the screen door on the opposite porch slides open and his neighbor steps out, dark hair spiked up.

"C'mere everyone," Naruto hears, and he watches him set down a stack of bowls and a bag of food. All of the cats still in the proper location wander directly to him; however, his intruder stays put.

"Hey!" Naruto yells. "Crazy cat dude! Come get your cat!" He sneezes no less than five times while yelling across the porch. "I'm—achoo!—allergic to cats!"

The man continues what he's doing, separating the bowls and pouring cat food, and Naruto scowls at him and then at the cat, still purring and making lazy figure eights around his legs. Finally, though, his neighbor makes his way over to the edge of the porch.

"Koto," he calls. "Koooto, c'mere, girl." The cat at naruto's feet leaps for the dark-haired man in seconds, and Naruto's neighbor catches him deftly, snuggling the cat against his chest.

"Sorry about that," the man tells him. "She's usually so good about staying over here; never thought she'd wander off. Are you okay? You were sneezing pretty heavily."

Naruto waves a hand at him. "I'll be fine. I have medication inside; one of my best friends has cats, and I have to take it whenever she comes over, otherwise I spend all night sneezing."

The man on the other porch smiles. "That's good. Still, I feel bad for making you have such a sneezing fit. Are you sure there's nothing I can do to make it up to you?"

Naruto considers this for a moment. "Well. There is one thing...are you free Saturday night?"

The man—and Naruto really does need to learn his name—smiles at him. "Might be. Any reason why?"

The blonde grins, and he knows without a mirror that his eyes light up as he speaks. "Have dinner with me. Eight pm, I'll pick you up. Leave the cats at home."

Crazy cat dude smiles at him. "Sounds like a plan. Make sure you take your meds." He turns to go, then stops and faces Naruto. "It's Sasuke, by the way."

"Naruto," he introduces himself. The man—Sasuke, and wow does Naruto like that name—smiles, a hand running through the fur of the cat still cuddled against his chest.

"Naruto," Sasuke repeats. "It's nice to meet you, Naruto. You'll have to come over and introduce yourself to my cats." Sasuke grins evilly at him. "I'm sure they'd love to meet you."
